MedicStats SourceMod plugin

I am probably missing something blatantly obvious, but I can't get MedicStats to work. SupStats & LogsTF are both working fine using the same installation method, but even with medicstats.smx in the proper folder, heals & ubers aren't being displayed at all. Oddly enough, "sm plugins" registers its presence too. Admittedly, my test run was only with my friend pocketing me against a bunch of bots, including a medic bot, so I don't know if bots are properly supported.

Here's an example:
http://logs.tf/230751?highlight=76561198044192979

I'm running a Linux machine on NFOServers. I've tried both the AutoInstaller version of MetaMod & SourceMod & a manual installation of SourceMod 1.5.2 & 1.5.3 (probably irrelevant, but I'm completely new to server hosting.)

What information could I provide to help get this resolved?

if you check rcon sm plugins list and rcon sm plugins info XX, does it list any specific reason why medicstats isnt loaded?

On your server's tf/addons/sourcemod/logs - any error messages in those logs?

I'm still confused, but your assistance quickly led to a solution. Thank you very much!
RCON SM PLUGINS LIST registers its presence without any errors, but RCON SM PLUGINS INFO MEDICSTATS shows that it's not loaded (with no helpful identifying information). Following this context, if I enter RCON SM PLUGINS LOAD MEDICSTATS, it "loads it successfully" and the info displays the proper stats. Even after server restarts, it doesn't seem to need to be manually loaded again.

Isn't MedicStats supposed to automatically load? The logs didn't show anything out of the ordinary, and this wasn't a direct instruction in any of the installation guides I read. Is this caused by a misconfiguration in SourceMod?

I can see from the log file you posted that the MedicStats plugin in fact was loaded and working fine.

But for unknown reasons logs.tf is not showing the healing stats. I suspect it has something to do with the small amount of players on the server and the presence of bots. In a real match, it should never be problem. But if you'd like, you could post this bug on logs.tf's forum topic.

Tried installing some of these today. Most work but whenever I install Medicstats and supstats2, 1 or both the server can't start back up until they're removed. Using latest version of Metamod and sourcemod.

Hm, I'm still on the 1.5 branch of SM. I'll try updating to 1.6 and check if I have the same problem.

It works for me on SM 1.6 (stable) and MM 1.10.1 (stable)

Have you tried looking in /tf/addons/sourcemod/logs/ to see if there are any related logs/errors?

went through all the recent error files from yesterday and today, nothing really shows up when I search from medicstats.smx or supstats2.smx. Mostly just MGE errors from not being on MGE. Tried it again this morning with TrueTF. TrueTF itself works but once I put in either of the smx files and restart the server, it won't start back up.

MedicStats and SupStats2 are not supposed to be used with TFTrue (I just edited the original post to make that clear), since TFTrue already has those features.

Do the plugins work without TFTrue being installed?

nope, I figured I'd install TFTrue because your original OP said that while SupStats2 wasn't compatible with TFTrue, MedicStats was still required so I tried TFTrue + MedicStats. Both plugins break the server TFTrue or not.

Okay. I guess if you're gonna run TFTrue, then you won't be needing those two plugins anyway.
But if you are still interested in finding the problem, then add me on steam.

The new update today may have broke supstats; it doesn't start up correctly.

L 07/30/2014 - 20:23:27: [SM] Plugin encountered error 25: Call was aborted
L 07/30/2014 - 20:23:27: [SM] Native "SetFailState" reported: Could not find items_game.txt: addons\sourcemod\..\..\scripts\items\items_game.txt
L 07/30/2014 - 20:23:27: [SM] Displaying call stack trace for plugin "supstats2.smx":
L 07/30/2014 - 20:23:27: [SM] [0] Line 1096, supstats2.sp::ImportWeaponDefinitions()
L 07/30/2014 - 20:23:27: [SM] [1] Line 148, supstats2.sp::OnPluginStart()

I've tried to look into the "items_game.txt", but it's not in the "scripts\items\" folder. Surely it's referring to a packaged asset, but I'm not sure how to approach it from there.

I don't think that the source pause.sp reflects the compiled pause.smx. Whenever I put pause.sp through spcomp.exe and load it in the server, I get this:

[SM] Plugin pause.smx failed to load: Native "__FLOAT_LT__" was not found.

I just tried downloading the source and compile pause.sp and it worked.
I'm on SourcePawn Compiler 1.5.3.

Edit: I haven't tried, but google tells me the error might be related to SourcePawn Compiler 1.6.0?

b33pThe sup stats/med stats/logs.tf plugins break my server :/

Can you provide some more information?

  1. Can the server not start at all?
  2. Have the plugins worked fine for a long time, and they only suddenly started breaking the server? (Could be related to SM 1.6.0 then.)
  3. Have you tried loading the plugin separately to check which plugin that breaks the server?
  4. Have you looked in /tf/addons/sourcemod/logs/ to see if there is anything useful?

The latest logs have, at least for my server, been lacking in damage and medic stats. I would assume that this is due to the newest update.

It turns out that the SourceMod Team are making a breaking change to a core function in SourceMod in the next version. So if you are running a snapshot build of SourceMod, supstats2 won't work.

For now, please use the latest stable version of SourceMod (1.6.1). I'll be working on a fix, such that supstats2 will work with the next version of SourceMod.

Thanks for making me aware of this.

Jopperi tried the logs.tf plugin apparently im getting this error

Logs.TF Uploader: Wrong log buffer

is the api key messed up?

No, that is not the issue.

This error should never happen, and I have never seen it happen before. Weird.

1) Does this happen all the time? (ie. have you tried restarting the server)
2) Which version of SourceMod is your server running? rcon sm version
3) Which version of MetaMod is your server running? rcon meta version
4) Have you compiled the plugin yourself? (you shouldn't - just checking)

2. i'm using the latest SourceMod Version: 1.6.2-dev+4568
3. Metamod:Source version 1.10.3-dev
4. nope. i just use the one that i downloaded from the thread.

I really think it's the curl extension but i'm not sure.

I added you maybe we can find the root of the problem.

There seems to be a rounding issue with medstats, it counts 12/17=.70588 as 70% but 5/17=.29411 as 29%.
This leads to an odd looking medi gun usage, e.g.: http://logs.tf/465775
