If they drop support someone else and serious will step up since we have matchmaking. And ESL did support tf2 when it was relevant so they may now want to have it on their coventures lan.

exciting news, way too curious to find out the details of matchmaking (unlocks, whether it is 6v6 or HL, etc.). can't help but feel that the timing for this(and Saloon.tf) might be just a tad late, though. hopefully everything comes together.
