A small comment on this: You don't know who is behind it with what experience in which areas, so I kind of dislike that you judge like we are "heya lets throw some code in the internetz and it will be fine". The principles behind the project are entirely different from tf2center, I guess its hard to deny it. We opensourced it, use a entirely different infrastructure and got a more flat hierarchy.

Its hard to group up when projects follow different principles, and to be honest, I cannot be bothered to spend my freetime in a project where a single person decides about everything regarding the application design & development. But hey, maybe you can do so?

I don't think stadium necessarily needs to become 'the new standard' to be a useful website. There are enough users to support two lobby systems, especially at peak hours. If stadium distinguishes itself as sort of a step up from tfc with slightly higher user skill and admin awareness, it will have a place within the community. Not to say it cant become the new standard. : )

This is because the initial base program needs to be written by a core team of contributors to build up the structure of the code and make it easily extendable. However if you want to contribute as a developer you can always write something and send us a Github pull request for review. If the changes are good we’ll merge them! Just make sure to contact Nonagon (https://steamcommunity.com/id/nonagono/, backend) or Schalla (https://steamcommunity.com/id/daschalla/, frontend) if you want to start working on a bigger feature to make sure your code matches the project’s structure.

I really hope this site takes off as a replacement for tf2center or even as a place to go if you're too good to get anything out of tf2center but aren't quite good enough for tf2pug.me. For the sake of the community, I believe that we should try to get rid of the reputation that lobby sites like this are just places to fuck around. I'm not sure what it will take besides the obvious method of banning people that go huntsman or whatever the whole time. I was really scared about Vlodemort all day. I was even upset went to rehearsals with my gothic metal band Bloody Gothic Rose 666. I am the lead singer of it and I play guitar. People say that we sound like a cross between GC, Slipknot and MCR. The other people in the band are B’loody Mary, Vampire, Draco, Ron (although we call him Diabolo now. He has black hair now with blue streaks in it.) and Hargrid. Only today Draco and Vampire were depressed so they weren’t coming and we wrote songs instead. I knew Draco was probably slitting his wrists (he wouldn’t die because he was a vampire too and the only way you can kill a vampire is with a c-r-o-s-s (there’s no way I’m writing that) or a steak) and Vampire was probably watching a depressing movie like The Corpse Bride. I put on a black leather shirt that showed off my boobs and tiny matching miniskirt that said Simple Plan on the butt. You might think I’m a slut but I’m really not.

We have so many gifted people in our community, it's a blessing to be part of such a talented and dedicated community. I will admit I was a bit apprehensive when the talks of a tf2center competitor surfaced, because tf2center itself is already very impressive technically and also because it's a project of a huge magnitude, but I always believed if anyone could do anything about it, it would be our community.

Was going to post something about this on the former of the TF2C thread, pretty much so far I seen in TF2, there's always/usually corrupt people in our systems or people complaining about someone that seem to be bad. For example, Aristotle I believe? Does lpkane count for ESEA maybe? Then there's the obvious badmins of TF2C, and then wasn't there some for UGC and ETF2L? I seen drama and bad management at times from some of the TF2 sites and think that it's just some kind of curse or maybe I'm just overreacting over it.
It would be genuinely nice if this system has all the people we know we like and approve of. Examples being like zigster, SLIN, Getawhale, and etc. Many great people who have shown they can be mature, responsible, and have done great things for the community. Not saying the current TF2stadium team is bad, I just hope that the team stays good and doesn't pick up the wrong kind of administration just like how TF2C kind of went.

I just realized that the tf2stadium logo is just a remake of the TFTV logo. Quite clever :)

A big problem with tf2c is that its often a roll because of people stacking lobbies. I would suggest making all lobbies played on tf2stadium more pug-esque by randomizing teams after everyone picks their class. Maybe set up an elo system as well to assist in balancing teams?

I feel like people would take it more seriously this way and you wouldn't get people that are afraid to add up because they're scared its gonna be another group of people stacking or players alting or something.
