Or even sv_pure 1? This one. Does anyone know if it stopped working alltogether after some certain update?
I ask because I tried to remove the one unusual effect I have(and can thus test) and it only worked while on an sv_pure 0 local server. I'm not sure if I did it incorrectly and am missing something or if its just no longer possible etc.
For anyone curious I basically extracted TF2's particle folder with gcfscape, ran the game with the -tools launch option, opened item_fx.pcf and compared the difference between one of the 'removed' effects with the stock version of that effect. Then I tried to just imitate those changes with my own effect.
Stock Effect Example | Removed Effect Example
The relevant differences as far as I can see being in the top right box. The various element_array values being deleted in the removed variant. Using itemtest bots with a burning effect hat I couldnt get the old effect remover to work on anything but sv_pure 0 either. :(
