this is so cool what does the analyst desk (r/tf2) have to say about this
people who can actually afford to regularly practice 6+ hours every day and get rewarded generously for it will eventually get better than those who cant???
holy shit guys...

ow players be like
I wonder why he doesn't give an example of people pushing the skill ceiling of those characters. Maybe it's cuz its nothing more than people getting better at aiming her rockets and other fps mechanics that are inherent to all games in the genre

More difficult than Demoman

can't believe u guys are angry that someone employed by a tf2 competitor would say that their game is better.
he's right, all soldier players know is feed and lie and demo players are just cringe sticky spammers
i find it funny that tf2 is now "the game that shall not be named" to overwatch. FEAR
a fringe overwatch player that played support for a team that barely made playoffs uses his expert divining skill to tell you what games require skill and which ones don't in regards to two characters he never played, vs two characters he also never played
Soldier only does jump, crouch, wasd and shoot. Pharah has the same AND q, shift and e. I rest my case
Gritomai find it funny that tf2 is now "the game that shall not be named" to overwatch. FEAR
Proceeds to name a character exclusive to the Team Fortress games anyway. Makes you wonder why he couldn’t just say TF2

Seriously, why are they not allowed to mention TF2 on broadcasts? Is it some weird clause in their contract because Blizzard is insecure? I feel like this has been a thing ever since OWL first started where they would never ever mention what games players had played before Overwatch. They'd only mention that they came over from "some other game" without giving any specifics
I doubt anyone from blizzard is handing down commandments or even watching these really. They probably just think they shouldn't because... idk there's some beef i guess
he's only saying this because all of the top 10 spots in top 500 in EU got filled up by a guy who one/two tricks pharah and echo. there are no noteable junkrat players in the ranked ladder and definitely not in OW league
wonderoflwill be funny when tf2 outlives the sequel too
it already has
it already has
Overwatch has way more players than tf2, still a bad game.
hes basically accidentally making the valid but completely pointless argument that competition > difficulty
demoman is harder mechanically than junkrat but theres not 5000 guys trying to build a real career off of being good at demoman. closest analogue is people comparing the best players of CS1.6 to CSGO's

Put a soldier main in OW to learn pharah for a month, then put a pharah main in TF2 to learn soldier for a month see what happens kid...

maybe hot take but the game with 1000x more money in it is gonna be harder to get better at relative to other players cause there's more players and more motivation to improve.
imo if u tell an ow pro to play tf2, them just having the time to play like 8 hours of tf2 a day for a month will get u to at least mid. i don't think like a prem player with a day job can really do something similar in overwatch in a month
