Hey tftv.
I've been working on this little project for about three months now and I think I've gotten it to a point where it's ready for release. There are currently two versions, flathud and flathudRED with options to customize the colorschemes of both.

This hud only works in 16:9, 16:10, and 4:3 (with separate files).

edit: holy shit this is very well done, i'll stick with it. quick question, how do you take off the preloaded server buttons you have; i don't use any and i'm just curious.

Plop this into your resource/ui folder, should wipe all that off. Will include a folder for all these modifications in the next release (mostly just a structuring release for the folders and stuff).
edit: name it mainmenuoverride.res. I should probably not use puush for this type of stuff considering they only recognize it as a text document.

Do the fonts work? That was a problem I used to have.

Great hud, but the stat feed is distorted on my 1680x1050 res. Also i´d love to customize the fast connects on the bottom. Is there an option to customize the damage font size? IMO its a bit too big.

Yes, but the process at this time is a bit convoluted. I'm writing a different mainmenuoverride that gives you a bit of a template for the server connect screen, so hopefully that helps people out a bit.

There's a few bugs on my end. Mac, 1440x900 (16:10). Font appears too big in certain spots, such as the timer and class selection menu, and the tops/bottoms of certain text is cut off. Ubercharge meter is also off-centered. The stat menu (left side of the scoreboard) is completely messed up.

Also, at some point, could you make a version where the ammo and health are moved closer to the corners?

I really like the HUD!

A couple questions though:

The slots on the right are a little bit off screen, is there a way I can move it to the left a little bit?

The font problems are most likely caused by you not installing the fonts correctly. Go to the resource/ui folders and install "BigNoodleTitling" and everything starting with "weblysleek". I don't know why we have to do this extra step (might be something to do with folder permissions) but I'll explore it in the near future. Try that and see if your problems are fixed.

I really really like the hud so I thought I'd point out some things that are out of place on my 1680x1050 res.

I got here thanks to reddit. I was looking for a custom HUD and yours is just perfect for me.
I installed it, but there are a couple of things I noticed:

- The text that says the name of the server is cut-off. The name of this server is "achievement_idle_awesombox9".
- There are 14 players on Team BLU, yet I only see 6. I prefer to see this: http://i.imgur.com/yuQL0jSh.jpg

If you need to know the screen resolution I'm playing in, it is 1770x996.

- I notice that when you inflict damage on an enemy player, the damage appears twice. Why? Is it possible to remove inflicted damage near health?

EDIT: I get this. I think that's cause that map has an unusually long name; shouldn't be much of a problem for basic maps.

To fix the scoreboard, click the "switch scoreboards" label on the main menu.

Pretty sure the intel thing is a bug.
It might be possible to change the damage numbers, but I think it's a built-in valve thing.

A and D represent the hotkeys you can use to swap between backpack screens. A nifty little feature in rayshud and other huds that I decided to port into flatHUD.

Hope this helps!

Oh, didn't know that the "switch scoreboards" was there. This is great!
One thing I forgot to add in my previous post about the damage. As you can see in the screenshot, the damage inflicted on the enemy itself looks a bit different than the inflicted damage shown near your health. It seems the damage inflicted on the enemy has a black stroke and the other doesn't. I prefer to see "softer" damage indicator without the black stroke and without it popping up near the health. Is this possible to change?

And I understand the A and D hotkeys now. Never mind about my previous post concerning these. They're good. :)

The other thing is that I feel the medic heal id is a bit intrusive and different to the rest of the hud. I feel like the health cross should be smaller and the dark background gone. Other than that its one of the best huds ive ever seen.

But then again i like my huds minimal as fuck.

But I just noticed that the UI looks different when I check my kill streak. It's different than in version 1.0. Might be a mistake on my part. I've never installed a custom HUD before, excuse me.

There are 2 folders "hud" and "flatHUD". I need both of these files in my /custom folder, right? As of right now, I have both in the /custom folder.

er...the /hud folder shouldn't even be there. I think it's a remnant of when I tried to do this on github. Just install the flathud base, the /hud thing shouldnt even matter and I can't do anything with it because it doesn't show up in explorer when I look at the contents of my hud.

flatHUD Base contains two folders: 16x10 and 16x9 depending on your resolution. A 4x3 version should be coming soon. Drag THOSE into your tf/custom folder.

Just default rayshud ones. I didn't spend much time messing with crosshairs cause I don't use HUD ones.

Hm. Well, I can't mess with those myself cause I can't get any resolutions higher than 1366x768. I might need someone else with a larger monitor to help me with this...

Edit: I'm using 16x9

There have been numerous hud glitches as of late inside the entirety of TF2. At the very least a reset should work.

Just a little update for you, 1680 x 1050 (16x10) resolution doesn't fit stuff on the screen. I would love to play with this hud so hopefully the optimization gets fixed!

Update-Will be working on Resolution fixes today. Tipped off by rays that C-values should center it for every resolution except 4:3 ones. Will try to also setup a Github repository for easy updating.
