G400s Default dpi

I set my G400s to 800 dpi using the logitech software, however when I start my computer up or unplug, then replug my mouse back in (I play on a macbook, fyi), the dpi is different (higher). If I start up the logitech software, then it goes back to 800 dpi. Does anyone know what the default dpi is of the mouse? I'd rather not have to turn on the software every single time I want the dpi to be correct, so I'd rather just set my dpi to whatever the default is and not worry about it.

2000 DPI is default I believe, or 1,800 can't really remember which. You can also press the - button 1 time and it's 800 dpi lol.

edit

Default steps are 400, 800, 2000, 4000 with 2000 being the true default.

default and native dpi are both 800@1000hz polling. There is another native dpi Step I want to say 1800 but I don't have use for a DPI that high.

The native DPI stepping for G400 is 400/800/1800/3600. Native DPI stepping for G400s is 400/800/2000/4000.

only 800 and 3600 are native for G400, and only 800 and 4000 are native for G400S. the other two steps on both mice are interpolated.

default for both is indeed 800 @1000hz, like shaft mentioned.

personally i'd just uninstall the software. the G400S doesn't need any drivers or software other than whatever's already on windows itself.

Bucakepersonally i'd just uninstall the software. the G400S doesn't need any drivers or software other than whatever's already on windows itself.

Then you have two useless DPI buttons. I have the drivers so I can assign them to other shit. It's useful for turning off DPI toggle and getting 2-3 extra buttons to do something (top menu default is also garbage).
