I get bored of playing multiplayer games (cs, tf2, dota etc.) and I binding of isaac can only hold me for so long. Are there any good singleplayer games you guys like / recommend? I've beat fary cry 3 and 4 (the ending on 4 is so bad good game tho) I beat skyrim a long time ago on the xbox and I don't really know any good games to get otherwise. Also I have Dont Starve and Dont Starve together (dont have any friends to play with though) Thanks!

Portal 1 & 2 are classics. Try spleunky if you want a platformer, or starbound/terraria/minecraft.

Personally I am enjoying Bastion, and I want to pick up Transistor next sale.

I have Civ and I play it occasionally but it gets boring after a while.
I've pumped like 500 hours + into the total war games over 5 years haha so they aren't too fun. And Shogun matches are hard to find and I didn't really like Rome 2 oddly enough

Here's a bunch of games I've enjoyed over the past year or so.

Nuclear Throne
Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed
Lovely Planet
Rayman Legends
Legend of Grimrock
Puzzle Quest
Deus Ex & Deus Ex: Human Revolution

Though it all really depends on what type of games you enjoy playing. Hope this helps.

If you have an android phone Tales of Illryia is AMAZING. It's a combo between oregon trail and an rpg with some rougelite elements.

Those that I really enjoyed.

- Bastion, gorgeous isometric game narrated by the voice of god (only more whimsical). Genuinely enjoyable, with a fantastic soundtrack done by Darren Korb. (picked up Transistor, looking forward to getting started on it once I get a chance)

- The Banner Saga, still in progress, but this game makes me regret decisions more than real life... Beautifully drawn/animated as well.

- The Mass Effect series are all favorites of mine, the gameplay in the original is clunky but 2 and 3 are a lot smoother. The DLCs add a lot to 2 and 3 (though that isn't to say I retained any moral high ground in obtaining them). They're a heck of a ride, enough that I get misty and nostalgic when I throw on the soundtracks. You'll experience feelings if you're any type of human...

- LIMBO, I enjoyed it but I imagine it may not be to everyone's taste. It's a fairly simple puzzle based concept, almost entirely void of a solid/discernible plot until the very end. It's atmospheric, beautiful, and unforgiving (the OST done by Martin Stig Andersen does a great job at augmenting the creepiness of it all). It doesn't pretend to be anything it isn't either (which earns points with me)

- Obligatory and oft repeated Portal series reference, they're wonderful games that combine a sardonic dark, humor with a pretty neat puzzle mechanic.

- Saints Row 3 coop with a friend is... Some of the most hilarious and enjoyable gametime I've ever partaken of (allows you to work on the campaign with a friend, it's not like GTA free mode or anything). I mean really, you get to run around wielding a 6 foot long purple dildo... if that doesn't sell you on it I don't know what will.

I also have Kentucky Route Zero, Alien: Isolation, and Papers, Please in my queue of games to play soon. Heard/seen some pretty great things about all three from various sources. Might be worth looking into.

Shadow Warrior (2013) and Wolfenstein the New Order are both excellent FPS games. Definetely the two best I've played in the last 10 years. (as far as singleplayer goes)

Metal Gear Rising Revengeance. Best video game soundtrack, best final boss. Best game.

yeah I enjoyed risk of rain a lot actually with my friends. Until they broke multiplayer at least then I started to not enjoy it alone it's a friends game to me

Far Cry 2 is the greatest game of all time.
F.E.A.R. is a good shooter, although the sequels aren't so great.
Driver: San Francisco is a fun game even if you don't like driving games.
Call of Juarez: Gunslinger is fun if you like Westerns and Western movies. Shockingly strong narrative too.
Unrest has amazing writing and was written by a friend of mine.

RPG - no eye candy, just tons of content and player building.

The Talos Principle lives up to the hype.

Divinity: Original Sin is also amazing.

Mirror's Edge is fantastic as well.

I'm running out of superlatives here.

If you have a wii and you can find a copy, I would suggest xenoblade if you want to play an rpg
If you are into rogue likes such as binding of isaac, people already suggested ftl which is very similar as a rogue like
If you want a quick platformer I think VVVVVV is short enough
