Mine used to do that, it just randomly stopped one day for me though. I really can't offer a solid solution other than just continue using it and hope it stops.

open it up, apply a single drop of oil , use a qtip or something similar to apply.
Fun fact, if you remove the piece with the springs and metal ball, and reassemble your mouse, you now have a free wheel mouse. ( no clicking )

ye indeed, don't ever use WD-40 to lubricate stuff, that's a penetrant, not a lubricant, it'll end up doing the exact contrary of a lubricant

Firealright, thx so far. to open it up, i guess ill have to remove the mouse feet right ? >: didnt want to use the extra feet that early ~~
if you use a guitar pick and you wear some surgical gloves you should be able to not damage them and put them back once finished, ofc it'll require more time and patience to do
