For one of my classes I'm required to do several forms of primary research for my final paper, one of them being a survey. If you could take 5 minutes and fill this out, it would be greatly appreciated: http://goo.gl/forms/razN3rRgAi

Please and thanks!

I never have really read comics, but for my birthday, my parents got me tickets to see this show:
http://theintergalacticnemesis.com/

It was incredible. Sort of a live performance of an original comic book series. It was very well done, super entertaining, and super creative. If any of you have a chance, you should definitely check it out.

Villains used to have style. These days, they're just psychos.

cool survey, done!

i used to read a lot of comics but i stopped buying current stuff because it all feels so bogged down with dumb pseudo-commentary shit i don't care about (also why i've always hated X-Men). I feel the only good cape comic on shelves for the past 2 years has been Moon Knight. Everyone else has just abandoned the great storytelling present in classic comics, and tries to emulate serious writers like Moore or Morrison, without actually being able to tell a serious story.

in the end, what's really killing comics is the comic book industry focusing on making money instead of telling stories.

now that im done yelling at cloud, my favorite comics are old marvel comics from the 60s and 70s (Fantastic Four, Silver Surfer, and Strange Tales/Doctor Strange are prolly my faves), as well as anything by Kirby. Also a big fan of Tintin and Carl Barks' Scrooge McDuck Adventures.

Most of the cool comics in my house are my dad's, but i've still got some cool stuff, like my prize possession here:
