Thought I'd point this game out, I haven't played in a while but I might get back into it.

It's called Allegiance.

The basic premise is that there is one person that is the commander, he is the person in charge of buying ships, researching technologies, and commanding the people of where to go on the map. There are sectors which the commander sends constructors to go to create bases. The players usually need to protect these because if not enemy scouts can take them out and destroy them.

The "currency" in use is He3, and it is mined by miners that are also supposed to be protected.

In the game there are a very good variety of ships, from Stealth Fighters, Bombers, Stealth Bombers, Motherships which can house about 15 players on turrets in them, and way more.

It's a pretty fun game, but it DEFINITELY takes time to learn. Just like TF2, except a lot harder to get into. I'm thinking of getting back in, some more screenies.

Oh, forgot to mention it's completely free.

the hell am I looking at? HUD is so cluttered I wouldn't be able ot make out any piece of information accurately if a lot of it seems dynamic by moving around the screen a lot.

The premise sounds like Natural Selection with ships. It sounds cool, but going off these screenshots alone - it looks way too cluttered. Is there any customization in that aspect? The bottom third of your screen is reserved for all your ship information, the top third is chat and location, and then the middle is just a clusterfuck of information.

That's only when there's a major fight going on where you will begin seeing all those names all over the place, it usually is not like that. It's definitely not as cluttered as it seems, and once you get the hang of the UI you start to realize that it's almost all necessary.

I'm not sure if there is any customization aspect to it however.

EDIT: Just checked, yes you can customize your HUD to however you like. It's not as cluttered as it seems however, this is me in single player at 1366x768 res.
