#7 Obligatory Mouse Nerd Thread in Hardware

Have you considered a Zowie EC1/EC2 eVo if you don't like the fact that it's ambidextrous? The EC1 is closer in shape to a deathadder. I prefer the EC2 because it's a little smaller and it feels better with a claw grip, for me.

#14 G400s/DA 3.5G weight comparison? in Hardware

Zowie EC1 eVo is pretty kick ass, has a similar shape to a DeathAdder and is lighter. You also don't have to deal with programs and drivers with Zowie mice. I really can't recommend them enough.

#53 The Keyboard Thread (last updated Sep. 24, 2013) in Hardware
radiumWhat are people's thoughts on WASD Keyboards? I'd love to buy a custom mechanical keyboard - but if I'm going to spend the money then IT MUST LAST.

I've torn my $10 keyboard to shreds in about 2-3 months. It's been a nuisance and I'm paying the price for not spending the money.

What do you mean shredding through boards? Are you wearing out the keys? If that is the case I suggest looking for a board with PBT so they won't wear out (as opposed to ABS). Most keyboards use ABS so you'll have to do a bit of hunting. I think most notably are Ducky and some Choco's that use PBT.

#49 The Mouse/Mousepad Thread (last updated Sep. 9, 2013) in Hardware

The Zowie EC1 you listed is actually an EC1 eVo. There's a big difference between the two.

Hein Mid L is what I use and it's great. I think there are some other Artisan Hein users here as well.

Great keyboard. Switch preference is personal, so you might end up buying more then one. My personal favorite is Brown, ymmv.

#51 College Majors in Off Topic
truktrukWent to Community College for Communications and now I'm transferring to university for Media Production this semester. I currently work at a local radio station doing promotions (eventually board op) after being hired through a Summer internship! I'd like to work in television eventually and I'm trying to get an internship with a local news network for next Summer.

Every going to learn that radio voice? It'd be hilarious.

Got my BS in Chemistry. Almost a phd but things got in the way. Currently enlisted in the US Army for Military Intelligence and working towards Warrant Officer.

#5 I noticed this (new?) youtube function in Off Topic
disengageYouTube videos lock up for me all the time, mostly when I try to seek through it. Also they won't switch to 720p a lot of the times :/

Have you tried the fix by adding a block to windows firewall? Copy and paste this to a command prompt being run as an administrator:

netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name="MITCHRIBARYTUBE" dir=in action=block remoteip=173.194.55.0/24,206.111.0.0/16 enable=yes

#18 Got a 144hz, what now? in Hardware
NoonaLightboost is optional, whoever I am not a fan of it as it leaves a huge purpley-blue-ish hue on the whole screen. However, from what I have heard from it, it
s hit or miss; Either you like it or you don't.

Why is it that people complain about the colors in /every/ thread about this monitor? Colors out of the box aren't good, everyone knows this. There are fixes out there so that when you do use lightboost you don't get that hue.
