#23 How well do AMD cpus do in tf2? in Hardware
Jstn7477-fps issues and stuff-

that doesn't seem right. I have almost a straight downgrade from that (i5 750 @ 4.0 and HD6950) and I get considerably better fps using chris's max quality config. Are you sure it's not throttling you or anything (thermal limits)?

90% cpu usage could very well be maxing out in this case, because the code isn't perfectly optimized and may have to stall or not make full use of the processor all of the time. But that said, a 3770k at 4.3 shouldn't be that strained to do 80fps. Try using something like CPU-Z while you're playing to make sure you're actually getting 4.3 and it's not limiting you.

Sorry, I guess this is kinda off topic. I may be able to help, feel free to add me if you want.

KiritoP.S, Some Intel CPUs use the same 32nm architecture as the AMD CPUs. I'll list a few.

32nm isn't an architecture, it's just the size of the transistors used in it. The similarity ends there, they're not the same architecture. They will use roughly the same amount of power per transistor I guess

But you should be fine if you have a reasonable gpu, especially if you run some fps config. You're not going to have any side effects of using an amd cpu, they just happen to have an architecture designed more for parallel execution, and team fortress is pretty bad at taking advantage of multiple cores.

#11 A Guide to FOV in TF2 in TF2 General Discussion

You can definitely have the 150+ fov unless a server variable is on that restricts it

Also this variable isn't in any config that I know of

If the change is recent maybe I'm wrong, this was done a while ago (looks like ugc turbine week last season ._.)

#3 Soldier lft open in Recruitment (looking for team)
tayw97He played a bunch of scrims with us and I can say he's an excellent soldier. He has great DM, played very well with our medic and was able to make things happen with our ubers. He had great game sense, nice comms, and seemed to always to be where he was needed. On top of that he was a really nice, chill guy, and we would've picked him up for sure if our old pocket hadn't come back earlier than expected. Get this guy a team, you definitely won't regret it.

Thanks :D

#1 Soldier lft open in Recruitment (looking for team)

Equally comfortable as pocket or roaming.

I've done two seasons of UGC 6's and HL. 6's as pocket both times, first for NFTG and this season for Get Artistic (both steel). Both teams were just some friends and we barely ever scrimmed. I've done a few pugs on tf2mix, but really my focus so far has been highlander. I know how to comm and won't rage on mic or anything like that, and I like to think I'm pretty good about accepting criticism and improving. I have about 1600 hours in game, 600 on soldier.

I'd like to not really comment on my abilities, I have no experience with ESEA so I couldn't tell you where I stack up. If you're interested, feel free to add me and we can talk more. I'd love to scrim with your team, if nothing other than as a learning experience.

I'll be free to scrim pretty much whenever once this HL season is over. I may play HL and/or UGC 6's this coming season, but it would be secondary to this.
