Can try navigating to /tf/cfg and deleting that stuff. In my experience sometimes tf2 will look in that folder first and override your autoexec or any other custom cfg files which are in the right spot

Just want to emphasize that a shorter cap timer actually encourages stalemates because the winning team can just park the bus 'til the next midfight and the losing team is forced to push in on short notice. Longer time allows for trying to make plays on the flank or with the combo, or suiciding until you get a pick. Watch what invite teams do in this situation.

KanecoSoapMost of what you guys are describing is simply the symptoms of 64 tick. When you are on servers that run 128 you will find that the hit detection is pretty great.Its not a problem of 64 tick servers only, hitreg is very inconsistent across the entire game, even on 128 ticks. example
I believe ESEA and all the recognized leagues run 128. Don't quote me on that though.
I have played dbmixes on 128 tick servers and theres still a lot of problems. The game is a lot of fun but these really hinder the experience, especially for someone who is already familiar with fps's and clearly sees something's not right.
A source game has poor hit detection when your target is crouching in the air...you don't say...
