NurseySorry if our dick attitude towards switching servers might have been a contributor for your scout quitting. We wanted to switch but I thought it would be a funny idea to drag it out and I am really sorry for causing trouble for your team.

This team is pretty okay and could do pretty well with a scout who can commit for a team and is willing to go with their style.

Netrex_lgtvWe can add Metalworks. I think the rest may stay as it is. I may remove the randomness though and go with something like you said, because it might become messy especially for the first set of matches to have to coordinate. But if the two teams eliminate the same map, there would still need to be something to decide one of the maps left over. Unless we do: Team A eliminates one, Team B eliminates one (but can't choose one Team A already eliminated), etc.

You could do Team A bans one, Team B bans two, A bans two, B bans one.

In regards to the map pool, why don't you add one more map ( I would suggest Metalworks, as it is in rotations this season. This would allow you to have:

Team A and B both ban one map

Team A and B both pick one map. These two maps are played.

If it is a tie after two maps, Team A and B both ban one map. The remaining map is played as the tiebreaker.
That sounds like a good idea, but isn't each map about 30 minutes with 5 rounds? It's only a one day tournament, so we can't have too many matches in it.

I misread the way this works, only one map is being played? In that cae, why not add Metalworks anyways, and then have each team ban three maps. That way, there is no randomness.

Also, matches are 5 rounds, but p[layed in two 30 minute halves, at least in Open.

Have you played Counter Strike? Without this game completely changing its core mechanics the shooting won't be as good. Also, the last Ubisoft game everyone said looked really amazing was Watch_Dogs and look how that turned out.

Sure it looks cool. But you can't say it's better than CS. The shorting in this game is nowhere near as deep as it is in CS, the focus is more on the destruction and working together. It's different from CS, not outright better or a replacement.

Got some information from the subreddit. According to the game dev, "

There's no master server currently so in order to join a server you have to know it's IP beforehand. There's no window or anything (and no admin tools yet) for the server, you can check to see if it's running by looking for ShooterGameServer.exe in your processes tab of the task manager.

To join a server you just need to hit ` (tilde) to open the console and type in:
open IP
Where IP is the the ip."
