Hi! Since TFTV is casting the IM Match tonight (which features gxl duo gecks and fragile), I figure I would cast the Open match tonight. Kawaii 5-o and Graveguns Aneurysm face off at 11:00 EST tonight in the Lower Round 5 (or Quarterfinals if you will) of the ESEA Open Playoffs. Following last night's nail-biting stat page watch, I (hopefully) will bring you the Lower Round 3 of ESEA Intermediate match between Blockback Mountain and Revenge of the Yomies. In the regular season, Blockback beat Yomies on metalworks 4 to 3 en route to their perfect 16-0 season. That's not to say that block's team is at all perfect. A loss in the second round brings up memories of other teams that went perfect in the regular season just to falter come playoffs. If tonight's match is anything like the regular season's, then expect both teams to play at their best. Tune in tonight at 11:00 to see how it unfolds.

NA TF2 Winter LAN: What's next after GXL?

Langedownpourp.s. stop trying to "advance tf2 as an esport" and just be happy that the community is as big as it is after the game being out for 7 years, play to have fun
The community would not be this big and we wouldn't have these events if it weren't for us crazy folk trying to advance TF2. GXL took six months to make happen. I started writing code in April, immediately after Tip of the Hats 2014 concluded (and TotH alone was 3 months of full-time work). eXtine, Dashner, and TheFragile were planning logistics well before that. The only reason we secured Corsair as a sponsor is because I was at PAX Prime networking my ass off for this game (and because STAR_ and Jerma introduced me to some important people). A major reason we put that kind of effort in is because of potential long-term benefits to the game and our community.
Do you have any such ambitions for ETS?
