Good competition.
Time for me to stop watching TF2.
Bye.

#177 ESEA season starting soon, let's talk? in TF2 General Discussion

Since I don't know 90% of the names on the forum, I am going to assume that these people saying they won't play ESEA next season are not currently playing in ESEA.

Otherwise it would not make sense, since if they truly believe that the client is a threat to their privacy/safety they would have quit midseason in order to prevent further damage. Although teams have died, I have yet to hear a team dying for this reason and it has been nearly 2 months.

So if I am correct, the people saying NO to ESEA were not playing in it anyway (making this argument irrelevant) or if I am wrong these people have still been playing on this client that they think to be a security threat/threat to their PC (which would make them dumb).

#293 ESEA and CEVO in TF2 General Discussion

(Coming from a LAN dodger)

I know that I never had the goal of a 'cash prize' that people seem to be claiming that players in Invite want.

I could care less about the money in this game; I've actually never even cashed any of the checks I've received over the seasons. LAN for me was important because I got to play with over 45 fps, got to experience a 120hz monitor and unlike the entire season where I pinged 100-120, I got to ping less than 5. It was the first time I felt like I played on an even playing field.

Now my team, which was notorious for never scrimming, did not put up much of a showing due to real life, but it was still by far the most enjoyable TF2 experience I've had and the only reason I'd ever play this game seriously again would be for another shot to make it there and to compete; money was not on my mind in the slightest.

I can't speak for all invite players especially since I'm out of the loop, but I know most are motivated by LAN for competition (not free money, vacation). I also don't have history in other games to know if LANs will/won't kill the game, I was just giving my 2 cents.

ETF2L is not really a step forward IMO.
If people were to play in a new league, I think it should be a league that is constantly improving and will be better than ESEA and continue to improve with the players' interests in mind.(most likely a new league)

For example, when teamfortress.tv was made, it was not a down or sidegrade of Gotfrag/NATF2, it was a clear upgrade.

This is all coming from the guy that is putting no effort into making this happen though, so yeah.

#83 ESEA Client Trouble Threads Deleted From TFTV/ESEA in TF2 General Discussion

I swear people forget there is another admin.
Killing is literally punished because he is the more active admin that works overtime and does extra work that he does not have to.
I doubt most of the people in here complaining about Killing *who has no control over ESEA updates* would not put up with half of the stuff or do half as much as Killing does.

#62 S15 ESEA-I Preds in TF2 General Discussion

Everything he's saying makes sense though. Generally there are 2 maybe 3 teams that have a shot at winning Invite; with the 4th seed and below just hoping for a LAN spot with no real hope of winning or even be competitive at LAN.
Big name players will always have first dibs at other good players, therefore leaving it this way season after season.

This obviously would not happen, but if there was a draft, matches would probably be more competitive/interesting across the board.

I've never encountered any of these experiences.
I must not be mainstream.

#17 Sorry in TF2 General Discussion

From an unbiased standpoint, everyone knew Epsilon would win. HRG just got 2nd instead of 3rd..

Although I'm sure the different in rules played a factor, I don't think any of them were individually changed the final outcome.

1) Epsilon
2) HRG
3) Broder

I want HRG to win though.

#22 5 cp causes stalemates in TF2 General Discussion

Not sure why everyone keeps saying it was boring/stalemate on ONE map, or ONE game.

The entire LAN was boring outside of the Finals (I only saw Viaduct). I'm not going to say with certainty it was because of the quick fix, but it is the only real change in TF2 from the previous LANs which were all entertaining.

#62 Quick-Fix in 6s? in TF2 General Discussion

90% of the people in this thread were the idiots that sided with Mixup and didn't think the new quick fix, which is essentially a new weapon shouldn't have been banned until the next season.

Regardless as to how boring this LAN is (and it is boring), I still don't understand the logic of the community.
