Ok, as someone who quite enjoys comp tf2 but has not played it too much I feel like I can actually add to this thread.
In my 12 or so lobbies played I've been on both ends of games like the one you've posted above literally months ago

I dont think any youtuber shouting out tf2c is the problem at all, although it probably has the potential to happen more often with more newbies its kinda up to the more experienced players to not stack teams

the plasma thing probably varies but i've done it and there is some registration involved but its not much honestly.
they make sure you havent had any homosexual intercourse like ever for diseases or sumthin idk you take a physical they ask you if you've shot up drugs and stuff and no tattoos within the last 6ish months or so. I think the tatoos are prolly the biggest thing to most people
