#10 free taco at taco bell from 2pm to 6pm in Off Topic
kirbyffs I got off work at 5:30 and I work near a Taco Bell. Of course 19 minutes after it's too late, I now see this.

At least they still will have to do two more promotions for the Cavs.

#14 How to prepare for an college philosophy course in Off Topic
fnmedit* **a** college philosophy course

Hello-

Thanks to a cool grant that my high school got, I am able to go take a philosophy course at a local college. I'm a pretty good student, taking a few APs, and I was wondering if there is anything I should know before showing up to my first class.

I've briefly skimmed over Plato's cave, Existentialism, and Epicurus, but I'm not sure if there is anything else I could do to prepare myself. Any advice is appreciated!

Thanks in advance. :)

I can only assume that it's going to be an intro to phil course. You're most likely going not going to dive too deep into each authors ideas. It will likely be taught oldest to newest, and/or, which taught refutes the older. Just relax and wait until you get the syllabus, you might over-preparing.

#32 Questionable ads (on tf.tv) in Site Discussion

I swear if you have tons of porn downloaded and/or looked at, ads give up on you. I have a 500 GB hard drive that is for nothing except porn, yet my ads are about car insurance, berts bees, and place resorts. If anything they should be targeting me for porn hits.

#21 Banned from ESEA in TF2 General Discussion

Welcome to my life. 10 year ban from ESEA from explaining Lpkane was being an ass. I, literally, could've cheated with aimbot and only got a one year ban, but that fat ass kid gave me a 10 year ban.

#66 Jeremy Clarkson suspended from the BBC in Off Topic

It's a good show, but how many times does a person need to prove he is an asshole before he/she is fired? Generally speaking, physical violence should be start and end the convo.

#39 I'm figuring out where to live next; suggestions? in Off Topic
TurinI'm gonna plug columbus.

90+ only for like 2 weeks in August.
It's part college town, part city. There's tons of stuff to do. Entirety of High Street is pretty awesome. Plenty of concerts. There are great bars near the Arena District. And with OSU sports, a MLS team, a good AAA baseball team, and a growing NHL team, there's sporting events all year round, and it's actually pretty cheap (AAA games and CBJ games can be like 34$, with OSU and Crew games running higher).
There's some nice parks like shiller park, columbus commons, etc. We got a really cool conservatory with huge grounds and our zoo is one of the best in the world. Within a 30 minute drive we have some awesome metro parks, and an hour away is the hocking hills.
There's decent public transportation for within the city, with buses going to pretty much anywhere.
Has a good music scene that in maybe 15 years could be one of the better ones in the country. There are quality bands, but other than like 30 good ones there's a bunch of shitty metalcore and pop punk bands though. It gets a lot better yearly. There's also an established jazz scene here (Columbus is becoming one of the big jazz towns now). Theres a good EDM scene too.
Internet is hit or miss, depending on where in the city. If it's near downtown, it's great. In the student ghetto (neighborhoods outside OSU), it is really shit. You can get 50mpbs+ (i pay for 50, but end up getting 85) or like 5mbps.

Hello, another Columbus person. Nice to see others in Ohio, granted we live in Gahanna. But yeah, Columbus is actually a pretty nice place to live, in Ohio, which doesn't say a lot. It's main downfall is the price of rentals has skyrocketed in the last 2-3 years. Our house that we have rented for 5+ years was/is 795 a month, but the same homes now rent for 1200+.
