Some people take clicking on other people a little too seriously.

#19 How well do AMD cpus do in tf2? in Hardware

I currently run an 8350 with a GTX560 and I get 300fps constant.
Sometimes it dips to about 200 in a lot of action.

Streaming I play at about 150 constant, sometimes dipping to 100 in action.

huhyVortexDon't think you have enough Dota 2 invites.Meh, no one will buy those. Just ignore those invites.

I will, not for actual money of course.
Would metal be acceptable for them?

#3 Popular sentry spots while holding last? in Q/A Help

I don't pretend to know what I'm really talking about here, most of it is just rambling.

Mostly it comes down to common sense, what exactly do you want to do with the sentry?

It can be effective at simply guarding one door, so that it restricts where the enemy can push from without needing to pop early. To do that, you'd need to find an area that isn't very spammable from the push point, but they'll still need to get past in order to push.
I.e. Gully Riverside.

Another good use is a surprise play to force them to pop where they wouldn't need to.
This is ideal if you don't stick to a common position, but you'll also need to build it where it can't be seen too early. This is especially effective against Kritz, I guess. I'd personally only personally run this play against Kritz.

Also, no matter where you put it, it's really going to what to be able to aim at the point. This will be great at taking down a pesky scout attempting to cap in the action.

#13 eXtv April 2013 Top 10 in News

I really liked the frags this episode (Although personally I'd have ordered them different).

The commentary was a bit lacking, however, in comparison to the old top 10 videos.
I know eXtine is probably just a bit rusty, so he should get out some of that old WD40 and get back in to it! =P

Good to see this series returning

#21 Lawena and Steampipe in TF2 General Discussion

http://teamfortress.tv/forum/thread/7820-your-one-stop-guide-to-steampipe

Also, Lawena is still sort of broken, in that it doesn't always replace your config.
The only way to fix this is to wait for a new version of lawena designed specifically for Steampipe.
I've temporarily moved over to another recording tool (Made by a friend, I don't know if he's releasing it publicly as it's still in alpha).

#5 Need someone to install graphics card? in Hardware

There will almost certainly be a detailed video guide on how to remove and install specific cards. It's as easy putting Lego together, once you get to grips with it.

#2 Need someone to install graphics card? in Hardware

They're fairly easy to install.

A Graphics Card was one of the first parts I ever changed on my own, and it went really smoothly.
If you're very worried though, buy one from newegg/amazon/wherever online, and take it to your local PC store and get a quote from them.

Most places such as PC World, as well as being stupidly overpriced, will usually install a part for you.

I just wish IGL had a user-friendly interface that made finding a team somewhat plausible.

Also their forums are a total mess

#50 Unlocks and effective strategies? in TF2 General Discussion
DrPloxor4ptureI think the problem with this mindset is that while its clear certain past unlocks have no place in 6s, people also mentally block any new unlocks. The Vaccinator
I believe when it came out, it was tried into oblivion. It came up short because of slow buff times and, honestly, Invuln/crits>extra heals. Same as the quickfix.

ETF2L had an entire tournament dedicated to trying out it's effectiveness.

I think, put simply, keeping the majority of the unlocks banned is pleasing to the masses.
It's easier to keep it banned and please a lot of people, than it is to unban it.
Unbanning it results in you needing to justify the unban, and then listen to hundreds of people whine about how it's so broken or that they have no idea how to fight it.

This along with the fact that most of the unlocks are, in fact, tried and tested.

#2 Fantasy TF2? in TF2 General Discussion

It was quite seriously discussed over at: http://teamfortress.tv/forum/thread/7610/1

A lot of people showed interest, but when put in to practice it wouldn't really be a fantastic thing.

#6 Team doesn't listen? in TF2 General Discussion

If you really want to make your team listen to you, you may have to sabotage the relationship slightly, unfortunately. At least in my experience.

I had like 3 paragraphs here giving the situation/backstory of my experience, but I decided to cut it out and just give a tl;dr.
Our main caller got stressed by people not listening. I played the bad guy and just told them that they fix their ears or there isn't a place on the team for them.

Our next scrim went beautifully, everyone comm'd efficiently and listened to everything.
