#29 Games that are like comp tf2 in Other Games
MakStalemates arent a problem if u havent had ur attention span eroded by Blizzaed games lolololo

stalemates were a problem before overwatch was released

on topic, realm royale is similar in terms of gunplay. it's got that quake-style shooter 2-4 shot ttk that makes duels fun instead of just a succession of shooting the unaware or getting shot in the back. It's also unfortunately a third person battle royale game with at least one slow, and developed by hi rez which means they'll kill it through negligence within a couple of years, but you can't have everything. Even though the gunplay and movement is unpolished it's still decently enjoyable for now.

#11 Ready Up: An Appreciation in TF2 General Discussion

I'm not a big name like these guys but the doco perfectly captured what I loved and always will love about tf2. The reason I don't play the game much anymore is because whenever I boot it up it makes me so incredibly sad about what could have been -- I wonder if that's true of anyone else?

I'm always striving to become a better gamer and that can't happen when my state of mind constantly shifts between enraged and incredibly sad. Perhaps tf2's time has passed (although the quality of play at Rewind 2 seems as high if not higher than ever) but if Valve ever throws it a bone, I'll be there, and I think a lot of other people will too. If that never happens, we can still remember the game and its community for what it is and was, and keep in touch with everyone at lans, local or international.

<3 to dashner, uberchain and everyone else who helped make the documentary. I hope it reaches a wide audience and gives you the recognition you deserve.

#23 Valve will VAC ban you automatically for username in TF2 General Discussion
mastercomsI investigated a bit more into the users that complained on that GitHub report, and looks like all of them use cheats and/or develop cheats.

(including BenCat07 who posted on this thread and is now VAC banned on their Steam)

if people are saying they're getting randomly vac banned for something silly it's pretty dumb to point at their vac ban and call them a cheater, just saying

#28 December Global Whitelist Changes in TF2 General Discussion
b4nnythese items may simply be "overpowered" they have not proven to be game breaking and should not be banned:

overpowered items should be banned that's literally the point of the whitelist

#19 TF2 update for 11/16/17 in TF2 General Discussion
morwannegJust keep spamming it until Reddit catches on, they can be a bit slow at times. Also anyone else find it neat how there's a link to the subreddit on the front page of the TF2 home site and yet other communities such as this one are ignored?

do you really want rando pubbers spamming this place up?

#5 rollout demo? in TF2 General Discussion

optimal blands rollout is ~8-10 seconds from the end of freeze time from memory (9:47 out the door onto mid is the fastest i'm pre sure), this one was 14 and at best you can cut it to like 12. Nuff said. A long time ago people used to rollout through gray door and do a double sticky jump up to choke iirc (it was before my time) but people probably stopped for health reasons, it's also still way slower.

just practice the default rollout

#33 What's the most efficient way of improving your dm in TF2 General Discussion

the answer to your question is probably mge as long as you're actively using it to improve yourself and aren't just spamming aids arenas that cater to your terrible playstyle. You also have to regularly play proper gamemodes (pugs/scrims) to implement the skills you learnt in mge into your actual play, if you just spam mge for months straight your dm will improve but you'll end up with a bunch of bad habits it will take extra time to break.

also spire isnt as great as people make out either, you should focus on the other arenas imo (i've found via, blands, process, ammomod and maybe snake/gully to be the best ones). never play endif.
