Switching from League to Dota

So I've been playing league for some time, I'm currently hovering around low plat and I'd like to try out Dota to see if I may like it more. I just wanted to know what the differences are other than things like no recall, denying creeps, etc. I played a little bit of Dota in very early beta and stopped, so I don't know very much. Also, what kind of heroes would an ADC main fare well with?

except silva's still in his prime though
