#3 i49 Seat Picking in TF2 General Discussion

I was planning to maybe come to i49... But do all the colors mean that everything is full already?

#7 120hz and why I should get it in Hardware

I got my 144hz Asus yesterday. Even if I am not playing any game I keep moving the mouse around in joy of the complete smoothness.
If you can afford a 120hz monitor, get a 120hz monitor. You will not regret it.
Also you will probably be upgrading your graphics card sooner or later and when that happens you will already have your monitor there ready to play anything at delicious 120hz. Also you can probably set most games' graphics settings down to get stable 120 fps.

#21 I have a server for you! in TF2 General Discussion

Gameplay is working fine, however there seems to be a problem with the server automatically going down and restarting on every map change. I apologize for this. I will try to fix it tonight and contact the provider#s support about it.
If you have any idea what could be causing it, please let me know.
I also appreciate everyone who plays on it and gives feedback as that helps me to fix the issues faster.

Some people are on right now, get on if you want to actually play and see if everything works fine!

#63 New Mic/Headset Advice in Hardware

It depends on what quality you listen to as well. If I watch a random 240p music video on youtube, there's little difference. The first thing I my AD700s on was a Beethoven recording in .flac and boy, it was cash. Try to listen do some .flac and different types of music in good quality. Also play some mge and try playing "blindfolded" as in staring at the ground. You might notice how well you are able to orient based just on the sound. Also make sure that you have your tf2 sound settings set correctly for headphones.

Another info for you guys: If you are looking at the gametracker header, it sometimes displays the server as offline. It is not, though. I am constantly watching over the server and keeping it up. So you should be able to play even though the header for some reason says it is offline. If it really is, let me know.

#198 The 120Hz Monitor Thread in Hardware

Let me know what you think of the color calibration out of the box. I would be interested to see if there's actually a difference between US-shipped and Euro-shipped panels or bewteeen individual models.

For anyone who has problems with the color management on the asus, I MIGHT have my colorimeter in about a week and will post profiles here then. It's like 180€ though, so no promises just now.

#196 The 120Hz Monitor Thread in Hardware

I accidentally deleted my post above and replaced it by a quote with parts from it.
Quick summary of my thoughts on the asus:
-144hz smooth as asscheeks
-alleged color problems not visible at all
-most neutral colors out of the box I had with any monitor in a long time
-the spyder profile from the dude at ESEA forums are horrible, idk what went wrong. Maybe US panels are calibrated differently?
-Once I get my colorimeter I will post results
-Here in Germany it is about the same prize as the BenQ, you can get it for cheap so I would definately go for it

#192 The 120Hz Monitor Thread in Hardware
EDIT: I DID try the spyder profile from that guy over at ESEA forums btw. I don't know what that person did with his spyder but that profile is horrible imo. Strong red hue, white absolutely not neutral, contrast reduced. Something must've gone wrong there or maybe ASUS changed the default calibration on newer models? I've photoshopped and edited quite a few years so I can tell white-ish white from red-ish white pretty well and the default profile looks absolutely superior to me. I have no spyder right now myself, but I should get a new one pretty soon. If so, I will post calibration data here foe everyone using the ASUS.

In fact, the ESEA profile is so horridly noticeable, I could wip out my EOS and take pictures of it, if anyone cared. It would be noticeable.

#16 I have a server for you! in TF2 General Discussion

For some reason it was offline for a while earlier today. If you want to play on it and I'm not on there, PM me on steam and I will try to fix it. Idk what was causing the issue before but I restarted it and it should be running without problems now.

#43 quick poll regarding 'active servers' module/tab in Off Topic

Yo Enigma, may I redirect to my thread here: http://teamfortress.tv/forum/thread/8078-i-have-a-server-for-you

Can I have a spot on the active server list so people see it and it can actually get populated?

Bring your friends. I'm still waiting for an opportunity to see if the maxclass plugin is working properly. I need at least 6 players on for that.

Aright, I'm out for today with a last bump. If you go on the server and encounter any problems, leave them here and I will take care of it.

I'm hoping for a tf.tv staff member to notice this thread and tell me the criteria for a server to get into the active servers list.
