FogIf you're really itching for 120hz, find a CRT. They can do 120hz at 640x480 in most cases.
Is that the highest res they really do? Does the lower res in any way decrease skill like maybe something to do with the mouse not being accurate or something... I've got no idea
Any other disadvantages of using a CRT?

RawrSpoonValve's way of calculating FOV is in no way strange, it is the standard to use Vertical FOV as opposed to Horizontal FOV as the older games did.

I can't really help with choosing a laptop, but before choosing one you should seriously consider a normal computer build. Laptops will sooner or later turn out with some problem. I'd really only get a laptop for tf2 if you had absolutely no choice

I've never even heard of a 7470. I assume that's really low end, and that's what is causing the fps drops
