Anyone want to do a HLTV Dream Team league for TFTV? Or is there already one out there?

It's absolutely free to get in, but it's only spectators, not a BYOC event.

Haven't seen a post about it, but it's coming up pretty soon according to the ESEA News website. I also haven't seen a write-up about it for TFTV or ESEA, and the only thing I can find for it is in the Upcoming Events section for ESEA News.

Quick recap on who is attending for TF2:

These are pretty much the same teams that have attended the previous few LAN's, minus Street Hoops, who's first ESEA LAN was last seasons, S16.

It's being held in the same venue that it has been since forever, the Doubletree. It's near a fairly large mall called the Galleria, also near the hotel are a few restaurants, mostly fast food and a Walmart.

LAN Officially starts on December 5th, however, only CS:GO teams will actually be playing matches that day. TF2's elimination matches do not start until the 6th, with the finals being on 7th.

Past few LAN's there has been a decent attendance of spectators for TF2, if you live in the area, there really is no reason for you to not come. You'll get to meet some pretty cool people, watch some TF2 and listen to all the yelling from the CS:GO teams. If you need a ride and live in Plano, Allen or Frisco, message me on either TFTV or steam and I can see if I can get you. Otherwise if you need a ride to the event, or want to carpool with some people, post here and hopefully we can get some more people to show up.

Newbie Mixes are for those who are new to competitive, often we get people who have 2-3k hours on TF2, but have never played or even seen competitive before. I would highly recommend coming out to them some time, we hold them every Friday at 9 EST, here is a link to the previous one we had. After getting a hang of how competitive works, you can start looking for a team on the UGC Forums.

You should definitely come try it out once, some players try it and find out that they don't have the correct mentality to do it and others find out their pretty good at it. All these Newbies need are the basic ideas of competitive, callouts, rollouts, when to push and where to hold are the bare necessities a coach needs to know to be able to help their team learn.

Honestly, some people are there to mess around and ruin everyone's experience, but when the admins are alerted to this we generally remove said player and get a replacement pretty fast.

I would generally agree, but what we've done as a solution to this is to have the more experienced coaches play with more experienced players, when we can afford to do that. We almost always prioritize those who add up in the lower skill level which means those added to higher skill levels play less.

I can really only think of a handful of euros who have shown up to these and most of them were there to troll rather than learn about the game.
