Holy shit I feel sorry for Americans now, I literally had to go to hospital to get a spit roasted by tubes and put on various medication at points, it cost me
TrotimMore people willing to seriously playtest them, repeatedly, in early stages who then don't leave only toxic feedback.
This unfortunately is one of the main reasons why custom maps are quite sparse in the community, NA are more open to new maps but EU are incredibly tight lipped about playing and trying out new maps which is a really big shame.
I remember in CSS and 1.6 there were loads of new maps play tested and tried, when you searched for a scrim the other team wouldn't bitch and whine about having to play a certain map.
In regards to designing maps themselves, quite a few custom maps are incredibly good but I feel most are all lacking in good last points in particular, most are very much the same in some shape or form which is disappointing. I still think for this reason badlands is a really good map as it's one of the few maps that has a closed last point that really creates some intense last defense pushes, most these days have rather large open last caps that make for a very flat and bland last push.
I take a 15 minute break and then go through the demo to find out what the other team did that was better than us, once I do that and I find out what I need to do to improve it becomes a lot easier to handle when you get shat upon.
What did the blue names do in the first place? :/ I thought I had one unless I was dreaming.
E-thugthe best demoman went 0/7 at i49, yeh we know how it will go.
I had a shit scout duo at lan.
filco majestouch with brown switches. spilt a can of red bull on it at LAN and it works exactly the same.
It's a good keyboard too!

badlands final moments
LarathatmoLarathjukebox actual soldier play wasn't as good

ok, lets rephrase then, I felt that aporia and geaR was better overall, cause jukebox didn't play as well during the first day and felt his sniping was better then his roaming.
Then you really didn't see him play, jukebox was on another world, his play was so disruptive it was unreal. He was probably the outstanding performer for TCM and he would always relieve the pressure/create the space when it was needed the most.
To have a player that you can depend on so much to get you that vital pick is very important, not to take anything away from the other roamers this lan but he was the guy that would consistently deliver.
atmojukebox's soldier deserves more appreciation
Watching his soldier play was insane, he flies around the map like a beautiful swan majestically diving onto medics and shitting on them.
numlockedwhy does it matter if people use the same frags? surely it's how it's made, not just what's in it. I for one want to see tons of videos about i49 because it really was the best event TF2 has ever seen.
I think it's mainly because it will get tiring, obviously it may not matter that much because I don't think there would be loads of people making clips anyway, but the Bones/Cube movie will be a really big and high profile movie to watch and having some awesome never before seen frags would be good and keep it interesting.
