So I've been using lawena for about 4 months and it's been working great, but lately I've been unable to record with it.
Everything goes fine until I hit 'P' to record. It does not start recording and I get this in console:
'derecord' not present; not executing.
I've tried reinstalling and looking at the cfgs in lawena and while the game is running, but there is literally no place that has 'exec derecord' written in it, neither is there a derecord folder.
So.. What do?

You could attempt to just type "startmovie x" into the console and "endmovie" to end it.

Also sorry to hop on your thread but when i open lawena the interface is unresponsive when i click a drop down i have to full screen then go back to small screen in order for the options to change. Is there any way to fix this? I tried re installing but it still keeps happening.

I fixed it by pasting the entire line of what was bound to P and it worked thanks to your suggestion :}

Alternatively, you can use these lines
alias startrecording "host_timescale 0.001; recframerate; bind P stoprecording; namescroll"
alias stoprecording "endmovie; host_timescale 1; host_framerate 0; bind P startrecording"
with P bound to "startrecording".
