I have Steam set to open on Windows startup, but it takes five minutes to do so... I can see it hanging in the Task Manager but it doesn't do anything. Often I have to force close the process in TM then start it again myself.
Anybody encountered this and have a solution?

Encounter daily, no solution that I know of though.

how many steam groups are you a part of? Maybe you are loading a lot of info on start.

What I suggest is either: upgrade your computer or, the more practical way, remove a lot of programs from starting up with windows and just open it when you plan to use it. This will improve your windows start-up speed in general and you can just open your streaming software.
