It's a bit difficult to change it, but you can delete it if you want the default backgrounds.

What font size do you want to make it?
Go into hudlayout.res and look for the "font" value (in my case it's Crosshairs34) and change the number at the end to a smaller value. If it breaks (it shows up as regular letters), that means it's not defined.
in the future you should really do what rayshud is doing with his rayshud installer to keep it easier to modify the hud
I have no idea how to code things like installers and I don't know anyone that does.
Relatively large update in the works for 2.4, release has been a bit delayed due to finicky hud elements.

Still working on the PL hud, thing is driving me nuts.

I love this hud, but I wanted to give it some customisation. How would I do to delete those black squares around the control points?

Go into resource/ui/controlpointicon.res, change visible to 0 for everything that starts with "CPBorder"
The hud wont work on my end, i just put the folder in tf/custom but it didnt work, i created a vpk file, didnt work either, what am i doing wrong? Do i need to activate something in tf2? Oh and i deleted the /tf/resource folder, couldnt find the script folder, didnt work, but when i removed it the button names in tf2 got all messed up, so i changed that back.
I would appreciate any help and/or suggestions, i am getting a bit desperate here...

You might have to cut out the lines with the comments on them, sometimes hudanimations can get glitchy. If that's what's wrong i'll fix it with this patch I'm distributing soon.
Small update released that changes the sourcescheme to the borderless style seen a couple posts up, as well as the MvM giant robot fix contributed by festivePEWPEW.

HUD updated to include collector's colors (hopefully! i can't easily check and see if it's working)
Small update released that adds a true brosel cross to customization as well as the ability to add and change the color of a solid background for the main menu.
Just FYI when you move items into a chemistry set, the thumbnail for the item you're moving is tiny. It literally doesn't matter, just thought I would bring it up.
Also is there a customization for uber bar colors or should I look up how to edit it myself?
