Black screen after minimizing

For the past few days whenever i alt tab and alt tab back into tf2 i just get a black screen. anyone know a fix? I play in fullscreen no border

make sure any -dxlevel tags are out of your launch options.
once you launch the game with the dxlevel, the effect stays until you change it back.
