A friend linked me this video a few days ago, and I was curious thus decided to investigate.

I found this video, which explained the details much better. <- I guess Marq had a p. good point w/ this video, part of the reason I asked for more info, was afraid of bias, etc. tl;dr - I pay less attention to news sources than I should anymore.

Congress has given Obama the power to fast-track this.

I've only began to understand the TPP, from what I've watched/read, and at this point it sounds pretty grim, and I'm curious as to a few things. Your guys' thoughts on the TPP and it's impacts? Barring what's posted above, some more info about it that I should check out? Am I mistaken in thinking that these videos, and articles do (in part) describe how - as I currently see it - awful the TPP is?

no matter how much people will scare you into thinking it, nobody will ever realistically get arrested for downloading copyrighted content online. as far as i remember, it's the providers of the copyrighted content you can download that can get in trouble, not the person downloading it (i havent done any in-depth look at that, anyone care to tell me if im wrong?)

cant really comment on the rest of it though, but it's pretty interesting that europe isnt included in the grand scheme

my only complaint is that it can be fast-tracked. that is my only direct concern
