Okay so I need some advice or information on console analog stick gimbal repair. My stepdad has like 3 or 4 Dualshock 3 six axis PS3 controllers, and they all have wonky analog sticks that will get stuck when you move it up or down or left/right whatever. I figured I could fix this problem fairly easily and not have like, $200-$240 wasted. I tried replacing just the plastic analog sticks themselves which didn't fix the problem, and I tried cleaning the gimbals with WD-40, which didn't help either. Does anyone have any experience with this sort of thing? Do I need to like, grease up the gimbals or maybe try cleaning them more intensely? If they're a lost cause, I'd also like to try my hand at soldering since you can apparently solder on new analog stick modules as well.
