i loved it until matt smith left/jenna coleman joined

the peter capaldi seasons with jenna coleman lost a lot of what made the show great imo, along with the doctor stepping aside to allow clara oswald boss him around and focus on her awkward relationship. there's a lot more detail to go into on the multiple things that made those seasons so bad.

since jenna coleman left i haven't picked up the show again, but i've heard the latest season with bill is meant to be a bit better. i watched the pilot of the latest season and it seemed godawful.

female doctor seems like a nice idea, considering the show has been a dumpster fire for the past few years nothing could possibly make it worse. watching people get upset over it is funny too. little bit skeptical of Bradley Walsh from The Chase being brought on as a new companion because hes corny and annoying but we'll see.

Funsit's not bad but really trailed off from my liking in recent years!!!

I agree, Matt Smith and David Tennant were really good, but although Peter Capaldi wasn't terrible, he was nowhere near his predecessors.

lost interest after they retired Matt Smith; 9th probs my favorite but i really liked 11th too, tenant was great but that writing wasnt anything memorable for my money

i also tried watching 4th and it was cool but i couldnt take more than half a 1st season in, liked the old aesthetics but, again, feels quite tiresome overall so i stopped
