Randomly timing out for 1-2 seconds repeatedly??

Recently I connected an ethernet cable to my PC and since then I have had these timing out issues. Whenever the game is running properly, my lag spikes seem to be less fluctuant but since introducing this, a new issue has arisen. In the span of say 10 minutes, I time out roughly 4-5 times. I'm not too sure what I can do at this point because I thought that Ethernet was meant to resolve these types of issues.

Giving me a fix to this will be greatly appreciated :)
Thanks

Edit 1: This issue does not occur on wireless, but my ping fluctuates a lot, which is far more frustrating than this.

If you have another available, try swapping out cables and see if that's the problem.

Yeah, I bought another cat 6 cable but it's the same issue.I'm pretty sure it's not my router either cause it's a new netgear nighthawk. I think now it has to do with my motherboard.
