I had somebody unironically call me shit at soldier because I beat them in a scout v soldier with shotgun on badlands mid. Apparently I have to literally direct him every single time or else I'm shit.

its really fun to play, but you have to be hitting your shots

you can make it work as long as you can aim it and know when to use it
if step 1, 2 or both don't apply to you (like me) you can still make it work by becoming an absolute retard ans starving your entire team, taking 35-40% heals like an idiot in the process

Even if you have perfect aim you still need to have good timings and stay mobile without draining the heals, but if you can manage, it can definitely work. You also need to take into account how your team plays, and it depends on situations too.

Pretty sure gunboats sollies with heals on scouts and demo (like FROYO) is still the optimum strat overall as it's just a more efficient use of the heals but if your team is oriented around your pocket and he's good enough with it e.g. sighguy then it can work well, if not totally efficiently.

Yes but you need to be careful not to fall into the heal sink trap. Makes you much more effective in uber exchanges and against scouts. I also find that it is partially map dependant.

i use it in tf2 center sometimes and its good but like my wise open team mate once said, its not just for using when you run out of ammo on your rocket launcher, its like having an extended arm that you can reach out and slap your opponent, its an accessory, use it wisely and time it right
