Scrapped Map Pool/Whitelist article

So, I was originally going to write a feature about reactions from Invite players about the proposed map pool and whitelist changes during the pre-season. While I did get a few quotes, I didn't actually get around to getting more quotes or actually formatting it. Thus, it sat around for a few days, until I finally got around to it today. But, with the season officially starting soon, the iron was frozen solid, so I've just decided to dump the quotes here do they don't go to waste or... something.

lucrativeI’m really happy to see Propaganda being put into the rotation, but in the end, I’m looking forward to saying "I told you so" when it’s never played in favour of the other maps just like Cardinal is now. This change to the map pool is mostly pointless IMO, and it’s back to square one making all the testing done to bring in a variety of playable new maps irrelevant

I believe the whitelist not being opened up to change is frankly ignorant and the point of allowing weapons isn’t to bring it closer with the pub community; it’s to make competitive play more adaptable rather than stagnant, and I find the lack of willingness to change staggering.
shamooPropaganda is a map that looks like it has a lot of promise to become a mainstay in the CP 6s rotation. O look forward to trying it out in scrims/matches and seeing what we/other people can develop strat-wise for it.

With the whitelist, I personally thought Bonk, Soda Popper and the solemn vow would all be worthless to invite level games, but there's really no judging how it'll affect lower level games without playtesting it in pugs. I'm not someone who thinks we necessarily "need" change to progress the game, but i'm not close minded with it either, so it'll be interesting to see what happens.
JarrettNeither map is perfect, but Propaganda's potential is much higher to one day become a staple in my opinion, so the swap seems like an easy choice and a good decision.

As for the whitelist, there were minimal complaints about weapons being allowed in last season's spare maybe 1, so the S29 whitelist returning is fine by me.
trippaPropaganda seems better than Cardinal, but I don't think it'll get played much. I would like to be proven wrong, but it's a lot of work to learn a new map.

I like the current whitelist besides the cow mangler and would be happy if there were no changes long term. I don't think there are any items left that would actually improve the game and the cow mangler is the only unbanned item that I think hurts the game.
b4nnyEach season presents an opportunity for ESEA to implement changes that can push the game forward, so I would prefer for them to capitalize on these moments more aggressively. However, I can't say I'm surprised when many of the loudest community figures are so hellbent on further stagnating the game. I'm looking forward to another easy win with my team this season. No change in one means no change in the other.
