Hey everyone, I've been doing some thinking as of late and I've decided that after a long hiatus I want to get back into competitive TF2. About two years ago I was on a highlander team that fought it's way up from Iron to Bronze before drama caused a team breakup, drama which made me bury competitive TF2 in my mind until now. I'm finally ready to re-enter the fold and get back down to business.
So, some important things you'll probably want to know. Let's get to it!
-How much experience do you have?
I have nearly a year's experience in comp TF2, serious TF2 that is. before that I'd done scrims and subbed for various teams. I still play TF2 on a casual level but with a few weeks practice I'd be right back to my old skill level.
-Were you the cause of your old team's breakup, do you create drama?
No, I do not create drama at all. I do my best to be as friendly and encouraging as possible. With me on your team you can pretty much guarantee a good time, at least I think so.
-When will you be available, are you reliable at all?
Yes! I am very reliable. I have almost unlimited free time currently, and that shouldn't change any time soon. If you need me at a moment's notice, chances are I can drop everything at any time and be there.
-You say you main pyro, are you good with other classes?
I am good with every class in the game except soldier, something about rocket jumping has just never connected with me. I can get an airshot reflect on a jumping soldier and reflect a huntsman arrow at a jumping scout half a mile away. But for some reason, rocket jumps are my TF2 kryptonite. Aside from bragging about my MLGPRO420XXX airblasts, I am competent on most classes, and my second favorite and second best class is Engineer.
-What makes you a special pyro, can't we just grab anyone with a mouse that has left click functionality and have him do just as good?
(So funny jokes) As far as I have been told I am an amazing Pyro, and my main style of play is flanking and ambush Pyro. In my experience players in Highlander don't expect a pyro to take the long way around and ambush five people as one. I tend to play the first moments of any round as a suicidal initiator. I do as much damage as I can and cause as much chaos as I can to allow my team to take advantage of the disorganized state of the enemy team. Once I've respawned, I fall back onto a defensive sort of Pyro play. My main goal being to zone out the enemies at that point.
In closing. I am very nervous about this, but also very excited. I'm eager to get started in comp TF2 again.
