manaShooter, can we get an update on this? We're looking good for IM and Open, at this rate.
IM has 7 teams fully paid, Open has 22 teams fully paid.
I see 22 teams paid in Open, and only 7 teams in Intermediate. A total of 29 fully paid teams.

That is indeed what mana said. What mana was asking was what is the status for esea TF2 considering the amount of teams that have fully paid.

29 FULLY paid, i see a bunch of teams with 4-5 players paid up right now, i don't think they'd have that many paid up without the intention to play.

Due to the number of teams currently registered, steps obviously have to be taken. There's currently nowhere near enough teams registered to justify having 3 divisions in TF2. At the moment, we are looking at the option of removing Invite and placing the Invite teams into IM. Of course, this isn't something that anyone wants but we can't really have an Invite division with so few teams. This is in no way set in stone but I wanted to let you guys know what's going on behind the scenes as registration comes closer.

What is the minimum amount of teams needed to keep IM?
And is it really easier to axe IM than give Gravegun's Aneurysm an IM roster? :|

ComangliaWell I paid up there better be a league since I'm not playing anyway. #backup
Lewis can join someone's roster that has 5 paid in the meantime if necessary.

We're looking for at least 16-18 but probably more.
IM has to be able to sustain itself. I cannot manually move up teams every single season.

Do you know how many teams we need for invite and how many of those are coming from the current pool of IM (should the divisions remain the same)?

Why not make final decisions on divisions once the final deadline hits?
There are IM teams that are still finalizing player decisions.

I understand the push to action by putting a deadline and all, but this season looks almost guaranteed to surpass the last few in terms of paying teams. Something like removing lan is a huge consequence, particularly when things look to be on the upswing.

Another thing to watch out for is alienating new clients. Most players - although there are exceptions - want nothing to do with playing top tier talent in their first season.

I was planning on taking Cisco + Yomies and placing them into Invite prior to finding out that we might not have enough teams for 3 divs.

i don't know what esea expected abruptly moving the deadline up to thursday, of course many teams won't be payed up. making decisions before the 5th will only have negative consequences.

Though I'm just going to say we appreciate the communication at least Killing. I'll try to talk to people and see about helping everyone get paid up.

radiumWhy not make final decisions on divisions once the final deadline hits?
There are IM teams that are still finalizing player decisions.
It would help if those IM teams at least partially pay up so I can count them in for the next season. Not paying for any players but promising to do so isn't really something I can take to my boss.

Would getting the required IM teams paid keep invite around then? Nobody from invite has paid and I'm not sure how many teams are dead. To me it sounds like the best we can do at this point is have a two division season unless every invite team is planning on playing.

Noting Dagger's post, the lowest number of teams IM has had is 14. Is it possible to move teams up from Open to confirm at least 14 teams to make sure the division stays active?
I apologize that it may seem I'm ignoring your note about divisions being self-sustaining, but maybe in the future make it clear that teams must form and commit sooner, and let this run as a well-placed warning? I believe the community would do what's necessary with more proper time allocation.
No, I'm not advocating the laziness that's been showing in "do everything last minute", for the record.

If we have a healthy amount of teams in Open + IM then there will be another season of Invite.
