For real though, this needs to be posted as an event or something. Kinda pitiful that we think tf2 is a real game and we can't even fill a 16 team bracket.

CaspianRazer has plans for larger tournaments but without decent participation in smaller weekly events it won't happen.
Basically sign-up for the FREE weekly tournaments unless you want to prove that comp TF2 can't even fill a 16 team bracket. Rosters restrictions are relaxed (ie you can add players at almost anytime to your roster) and entry is free. I don't even actively play anymore but I still signed up for the dates I could play.

Sign-up a pug team or get ringers and fill up the tournaments. If the bracket is full you're less likely to run into the 2-3 im/invite pug teams.

Also these really need to be supported officially by TFTV by being in the events sidebar/announced. It would be a shame if we fail to jump on board something that is without a doubt healthy for the growth of the game and then it's long gone before the majority of us realize that.

According to what tsc told me, the event needs to be covered by an organization to be put up on the upcoming events sidebar. So unless EVL or someone provides coverage I guess we can't have them there. :\

Which sort of ruins the semi-finals since 2 of the top 4 seeds are knocked out before then. A more sensible matchup list would be:
#1 vs #8
#2 vs #7
#3 vs #6
#4 vs #5
It wasn't a huge problem when there were <8 teams but if the signups continue to increase it will be a problem

also, i dont understand why that it not getting coverage would change that, it is extremely beneficial to the community, I don't see how putting on the sidebar would kill the sites credibility. I just don't see where people against it on the sidebar are coming from.

Ond_kajacan you remove class limits from the config? it's standard to keep them off for non-lobby games
Honestly I see no reason to remove the class limits. If they are expected in the format why not just enforce it config side rather than relying on everyone to adhere to it?

There are 8 each planned for Sunday and Wednesday. This coming Sunday will be 7 of 8 and next Wednesday will be 7 of 8.

Also, these tournaments are at awkward times. That's why my roster is huge
