I really like APUs for cheaper builds, has anyone else tried building a rig around one?

ninjazzThat's how Garm3n intended them to work :3
If you want something that changes all the time you will have to use a script of some sorts.

I used to have a HUD I made just for spy, and as soon as you disguised, removed your disquise, or dealt damage, the crosshair would start changing colors from pink, cyan, green, pink...

#13 Rate/help me improve this build in Hardware

Remember that NCIX and memory express are bros and will pricematch. NCIX will simply match the price, and are very easygoing about it. MemEx will beat it by ~25%, but its harder to get them to price match. NCIX will also assemble the PC for 49.99, and they have nice cable management.

#5 Build a PC in Hardware

Budget: 2000-2500

Usage of the PC (gaming, work, etc.): Gaming

Resolution that you're going to be playing at: 1920x1080

Are you going to overclock: No, I'm afraid I'll break everything :/

Are you going to use parts from your older PC?: Don't have a desktop

Other thoughts: I'd like a 120hz lightboost capable monitor, an nvidia gfx card, a tenkeyless mechanical keyboard, any decent mousepad, and a sturdy mouse with a good sensor (3-button preferred).

PS: If it would be better to build a cheaper PC now, and save money for future upgrades, I'd be open to doing that as well.

Edit: I will most likely be building this about 2 months from now, so I guess the new nvidia cards and intel CPUs would be out by then.

#2 Warsow? in Off Topic

It's basically graphically updated Quake Live with air control and a situational double jump. It's such a shame that like 12 people play it :/

#78 Opinion on Mice? in Hardware
reddhaving tried both, i honestly prefer the AM to the FK

Both look amazing, but I feel like having buttons on both sides would bother me. I guess I could get an EC2

#19 grape hud in Customization
kosNo idea why but the font's are messed up using Linux (ubuntu 12.10), doesn't make it unusable but is a bit annoying. Really nice HUD btw, i like it a lot.

How's performance in linux? I wanted to give it a try, seeing as I pretty much only play TF2.
