When I play pubs, my singular goal in life is to make sure they don't have medics. Whatever class I'm playing, doesn't matter, you are not allowed medics.

This looks like a top quality thread let's start it up again.
Solution: Keep passive reload, 3s reload time, pre nerf, even slightly buffed healing and damage. That way it's less spammable, still not as good for protection as needles, but can be used for burst healing/damage in "clutch" situations.
It's like kicking puppies, but it's actively encouraged by the game.

Some people use cl_interp 0 which sets it to the lowest possible value, more for projectile classes. Really what you have there is fine and as long as you aren't running at interp 0.1 you should be good.
If you don't understand what the values mean, best to leave them alone. Try tweaking cl_interp but unless you know what you are looking for you probably won't be able to tell.

It has the possibility to cause some clutch moments to save/win a game based on aim skill applied by the medic. The point is it takes skill to actually pull off something awesome. I don't see any reason to ban it. I think the best course of action is to leave it in for now but if it gets insane (which it won't) take it out then.
I almost feel like mge should be done like the starcraft ladder. You queue up and pick your map pool, then it matches you to players with similar rankings, or as close as possible. IDK could work.
