jp_Do you have an OpenCL capable device? Try enabling gpu acceleration (sony).
Is it really a video or image sequence? Is it just in an avi container as uncompressed RGB? Decoding speed for uncompressed RGB is slower than using something like lagarith/UT Video.
I'll try the first one and see how it works out. It is a video, and I compressed it using virtual dub with the codec x264/H.264 (I don't know the difference between these two terms)
the301stspartanWhat resolution and how long is your video? What quality is your preview set to? How much memory does vegas get?

So I'm trying to be professional video editing man (Sony Vegas 11)and I'm running into a bit of an issue with the preview window lagging exponentially. My computer is fairly good I'd say, I can run most video games on high settings without any noticeable lag. I've tried to pre-render the clips I put into the program but for some reason it stops only a few seconds into the clip.
Any advice for someone who can't edit without the preview?
This looks really cool, and it's be nice if it was ported to PC, but I just don't want to waste my money on another crappy port...

Thank you!
I don't really know if this is the right place to ask this, but it's related to streaming TF2.
I've recently gotten into streaming and I wanted to know if there is any way to view my stream chat while I play TF2. I have one monitor and I prefer to play full screen so I was wondering if there is a way to get an overlay for the stream chat.
For example, something like what truktruk does on his stream, but instead having it in such a way that only lets the stream viewers see it, having it so that I can see it too.
I bought a high end graphics card and I was all happy about it and shit, then after around 2.5 months of using the computer I realized that the connection from the PSU to the card was loose. So basically I spent a while without the actual graphics card hooked up.
timesthelegallimitGive it to Seanbud/Wreath for the charity.
This please.
It's great that you want to explain what happened from your side and that you are trying to clean up a pretty bad mess. My only problem is that there has been no apology, everyone else involved in the drama aside from FT as a whole has apologized to the community. I certainly can't speak for the entirety of the community, but I'm sure you would have a lot less trouble if you made an effort to say a simple sorry to the community.
