#79 MAJOR TF2 update for 10/6/15 (Invasion Update) in TF2 General Discussion

Not a single good new map, only the batsaber skin is even remotely worth getting (please tell me it has the lightsaber whoosh sound) and buying the pass literally does nothing apart from moving your cash to someone else. Pretty disappointing update.

Well, at least the maps look great, they just play terribly.

#1 Razer arena democall in Videos

Hello, I'd like to make some videos for the various Razer cups, but since there's no good way to get my hand on any stv demos, I need your help to do it!

Frags must be from an official Razer Arena event, but that's basically the only limitation that I'm going to put on this. I'm obviously more inclined to use frags from high-level games, but good frags are good frags.

Please use the following format when submitting demos(or something close to it that makes sense): Tick_Name_Map = 66000_Beater_Granpro

What kind of video or videos I end up making depends entirely on on how many quality submissions I get.

#8 What are your old cringy videos? in TF2 General Discussion

The very first stv hero video. It's still awesome!

This was actually the first video I ever made, and I made it because I discovered that windows movie maker had a bunch of pre-made video settings, the result of which is fucking fantastic!

#94 i55 Demos in TF2 General Discussion
eXtineAnyone taking notes on Ticks of amazing moments? I don't think we've gotten any submissions for the August Top 10 from i55 so far. We could use help gathering that information and I'm sure Beater/"whoever's working on a frag vid" could also use that info.

Way ahead of you. Me and a team have already reviewed a large amount of games and noted down ticks. There's still a lot of work to go, but we're making amazing amount of progress. I saw Luke added me on steam, so I'm sure he'll drop me a line if he needs anything

these videos are really cool but I think you need to change the titles, kinda misleading for people who don't read the description

Am I really that crazy for thinking people will actually read the extremely short descriptions? Do you think they'll get the hint if I label "i55 hype video" or something like that?

etherBeatermarz and mearlite are currently helping me out, and we've already completed about 60% of the day one games, so an amazing effort so far. We could still use more help though, so please speak up if you would like to join the effort!
What do you need?

We need people to look through the vods and note down ticks. You can add me on steam and get the details if you want to help.

#30 i55 Fragmovie in TF2 General Discussion

Alright, so here are some of my thoughts on how we can get this video done in the most efficient way possible:

1. We need to get our hands on and sort all of the stv demos from the event. Multiplay is usually pretty good at releasing these in a timely manner and in the past people have been quick to catalog them, so I'm not too worried about this one.

2. We need to get our hands on as many pov demos as possible. Harassing players until they give you the demos is probably the only course of action here. There's a thread already for the purpose uploading demos, but you know people are going to be lazy. There are of course also frags from the lower teams during the group stages. I'm not sure if Kaneco would be interested in these, but it would pretty much be up to those players to submit their frags, I guess.

3. The camerawork was amazing when it came to spotting highlights, so I honestly think re-watching the casts and noting down the map timer of a play is more efficient than going through the demos. We'd then convert the time into ticks and go through the demo to make sure the ticks line up properly, as well as look through the killstreaks that the logs so neatly highlight (I'm pretty sure the stream missed a lot of the killstreaks in favor of airshots). I believe comp.tf links to the logs for every match, which should make things a lot more convenient.

4. I keep saying we, because I'd really like some help with all of this. I'm thinking of making a google document or something of the sort where anyone (or invites) can edit it with their observations. Crowd-sourcing is great, at least in theory.

I really believe that if we structure this properly we could have everything done in like a month or something
