Would make a second edit but who even reads those
I've thought about it for a bit now (and had somebody bawl to me on discord for a bit), and yeah I understand it's immoral. Personally I think it was a way out to avoid potential backlash. Others think he wanted attention and didn't give a shit. TF2 youtubers are shitting all over his name, his channel is going up in flames, but he hasn't even released his apology video that he's working on yet.
I'd like people to see his full apology video before making up reasons before we destroy any chance of him coming back.
I admit even my last post was a bit biased now, so I'm gonna delete it if I can. I still like to think of the best possible outcome, I like to forgive and forget when I think people are truly sorry, and I tend to have less feelings with people I've never really met. But maybe he is absolute scum, maybe he uses all of us to make money and that's it. I wanna see what he has to say first, and then I'll form a solid opinion and I'll choose if I really want him back.
Unfortunately, everybody is jumping to attack him before he can release a full statement, which is wrong. None of us know what really happened, and it seems the community has already sentenced him to death before he could make a statement. This is a horrible way to deal with wrongdoers in a community, we should never put emotions before facts. I can't remember who made this quote, but I remember learning a quote something along the lines of "A lie can travel around the world twice before the truth can step out the front door".
This whole situation reminds me of the king raja instance, where he fucked up, people called him out, he learned what he did wrong and apologized, and people forgave him. Sketchek has already mentioned that an apology video is coming out tonight, but people continue to keep calling him out before seeing what he has to say, which seems absolutely redundant. This whole thing feels like one big bandwagon of "Hate on Sketchek".
Again, I understand he did do something immoral, but I'm seeing far too many people make up reasons as to why he did it without knowing why, and these accusations are only making the situation worse. I'm even an example of this, so I'm gonna delete my last post.
TD;LR, let sketchek have his say before bashing his name into the dirt.
