Recently PM'd you this but posting here as well, hopefully some other people will get different ideas based off of mine.
Invite Level Coaches - Try and get ahold of a lot of invite level coaches to help out with Newbie Mixes. Try to get ahold of players in mix^, iT, or other players that used to play in invite such as pyyyour, ruwin, etc.
Marathon - You already talked about that one, but definitely Friday - Sunday with mixes 9-12 and pugs 9-whenever.
Release of Highlander Mixes - I remember you talking about maybe releasing highlander mixes somewhere in the future and this would be the perfect time to release it. You could announce highlander mixes on the anniversary but start them up the week after having highlander mixes with Platinum level coaches on Fridays, then 6v6 mixes on Saturdays.
Class Specific Seminar-ish Things - Have invite players have a seminar type thing at a certain time during the anniversary about a certain class. Like, you could have b4nny have an advanced demo seminar with questions at the end. While people like Harbleu could go for a medic one, clockwork on scout or something like that.
Rollouts - Have a demo and roamer show rollouts to mid, fast and normal.
If you haven't already checked it out, go here - http://steamcommunity.com/groups/na6v6newbiemix
They host PUGs for newer TF2 competitive players, you would be able to learn enough there to feel comfortable joining a team. Once they help you out with the basics you would get more out of a mentor for specific and advanced things.

As you can see I moved on from that silly name...
phAZEthe servers were literally pubs. not a good tourney.
To go along with what you are saying, I didn't like the fact that there were the ghosts and the headless horseman...
DrPloxoNo, they weren't.
You were just terrible.
Probably, but still a hard mode or something would be nice to make it more rewarding
While many will disagree with me, I was not a fan of the game. While I haven't started doing online battles the story mode was just so easy it wasn't rewarding at the end. I beat a gym using my Charizard and using the same attack on every other Pokemon/battles I did in the gym. Also the Elite 4 in this game wasn't challenging considering I beat it in one try. If I remember correctly the other Pokemon games (diamond/pearl the last ones that I played) were harder, especially the Elite 4. In those games beating the game actually meant something, and having all Pokemon faint wasn't as much of a rare occurrence while in Pokemon X I think all my Pokemon were all fainted 1 time throughout the whole game.
chiveHave you played the new fifa game?
I heard you had to do a ton of in app purchases to get the game complete, is that true?
Bump! Still looking.
Hey guys, title says it all. Looking for a team in open that will hopefully stay together this season, because I want to hopefully get in to a mid-lowish open team to learn a lot this season. I pug/mix a lot and will do a lot on my on part to help learn from my mistakes.
