Arcadia is one of the chillest dudes I know. He's very knowledgeable about a lot of the ins and outs of tf2 and is constantly getting better. He'd be a good addition to any team.
You need to open up the file the crosshair is defined in (probably scripts/hudlayout.res) and increase the number after the "wide" line in that section. You'll probably have mess with the numbers after xpos to get it to line up after you do this, however.
The update does good things for DX11 from what I've messed around with so far. Able to get a solid 45+ fps with Arkham Origins at 2160p when I could barely maintain 30 before it. I could be speaking too soon, but it looks quite promising. Though for TF2 I barely noticed much of a difference, but I did feel like it was slightly improved.
Would it be possible for someone to convert the Banjo Tooie crosshair to a vtf crosshair for me, preferably with a slight transparency? I'd greatly appreciate it as I've no experience with doing so or even how to do it.
I really like this hud, omni. Great work!
I've been having this issue since roughly November of last year, and even before that it was off and on from January 2011. I spent months and months calling my ISP, getting techs out, emailing them tracerts and all that jazz. Never got anything but lies and a bunch of bogus stuff. "Yeah, should be better in a month or so, we're upgrading our hardware." "If the problem keeps happening please let us know, but we can't do anything about it at the moment." It just got to a point where I knew I wasn't going to make any more headway and decided to give up. They're the only option of an ISP I've got atm, I live in a pretty rural area, and moving is not an option just yet.
I know this isn't going to help you or even make you feel better about the situation, but I guess I just wanted to let you know that you're not alone in this, for what it's worth. Keep on fighting the good fight, maybe you'll have better luck than me.
It's possible, but not in the way you're trying to do it.
You need to use the replay/thumbs method to get a new texture in place of the default overhealed/dying cross. (Like how Broeselhud uses this method for its healthcross, hudas iscariot for its main menu, etc)
It does work on the new drivers. If you set supersampling transparency mode to AA_MODE_REPLAY_MODE_ALL and have your lod the way you have it in your post it will be fine. I'm not sure if it's a setting in the SLI tool as I used nvidia inspector to configure this but it probably is there.
It's a weird work-around, and I'm not certain if it has any negative impact on fps, but it will make your textures look how they used to before the issues introduced after 306.97.

This is the download you're looking for, OP. The image isn't the same as what you'll see in the hud, it was just showing off what I was working on at that time.
The hud's really out of date, however, so some elements might not work very well.
Make sure each as it's own "fieldname" entry. Some of those sections don't have any so you'll have to add them. It doesn't matter what you call them just as long as they aren't the same as any other "fieldname". You don't have to worry about the sections that have a color of 0 0 0 255 as those are the black outlines.
The lines would loook like this:
"fieldname" "whateveryoudecide"
It's better if you learn it rather than someone else doing it so you will have the knowledge to do it again if needed. (and reduce the amount of "plshlepcrosshair wont trun red watdo" threads)
You'd have to animate all of them. If you got the konr wings to animate then it should be the same process for getting each part of the crosshair to animate. The name in the hudanimations file refers to the fieldname of the crosshair/element, not the actual name on top of the entry in the hudlayout.res file.
I would also like to note that I have noticed that if you animate too many elements by damage done, a bit of lag is introduced. I've found that it's negligible up to about 3 or 4 elements, after that the fps drops are somewhat substantial.
hookyThat sounds exactly like the intersection right outside of IMS in Indy. Do these abominations really exist elsewhere?
Yup, the city my college is in has one. Thankfully, I don't have to travel through it much, but it is nothing short of awkward every time I go through it.
spaceghostpurrpIs that ingame footage? Or CGI?
CGI
kivesperseLink to your hud? Really like to try it out
From the custom hud collection thread, http://www.mediafire.com/?bo3mszi64gkk1rf
I would like to note, though, that it is horribly outdated and I've scrapped it for my newer, more pvhud-like version:
Don't really want to upload this one just right yet, as it's still a WIP.
kivesperseAnybody know what hitsound is this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aDFiMjr99so
:O Someone is actually using my old hud?! That makes me feel all warm 'n fuzzy inside.
vileyou can make your own sounds if you have music production software.
Dang, maybe my DAW can finally get some actual use now. Thanks for the idea!
