Halo 2, had lans in my area in Michigan a lot, had a Hollywood Video when it was towards the last 4 years of life, when Game Crazy got attached with it. They hosted a lot of local cups, usually in store. Me being young, the only thing I had for playtime was friends offering me to play on live at their place, of course the shop itself was a 24/7 lan party, 8 Xboxs synced up daily with that game with every kid in town stopping by to play. Shop was behind my house, every day after school I had to play against locals. I had some growth, but at my age and being against people who could play online every night until god knows when, I was limited.

you know you can just spec people while joined into a active map and see whats happening? You know if you join into something fresh, or they join you, and you dont like the fight... if you are honestly not having "fun" you can just remove? If you are trying to have fun, just dip and wait around?

Speak up with UGC, could get the format going like ultiduo, problem is that they don't think enough of you will play, so the work and time put into new admin panels doesn't seem worth it. Another issue is refinement in new maps, ultiduo had a lot of new ones, for the last few seasons Array was doing new maps. He cant really play much because he has arthritis, so he messes around a lot in creating new stuff for people to play, You could get something with TFCL since that was at one point coming back, but that entire situation has been dark for almost a year now?

I guess idk, any way to pitch something in any platform with a specific format requires interested players to work together and speak up. If you guys wanted, you could reach to Damon Albarn who ran bball.tf, I don't know what he is doing with his time or if hes free to help organize something.

We also haven't gotten a new ulti cup for CappingTV, they would also be a great platform for cups.

Overall you just gotta try working together, reaching out, otherwise its just gunna be that, small pug groups and then some.

I was referring to what ive done in ultiduo as a frame of reference for what came to my mind, thinking about this in the moment. demo has such a high damage output, but I dont know if they allow hitscan being body blocked? I'm assuming its not right?

Ive made it work in ultiduo, I cant remember but I thought I saw caboose doing this, essentially you body block as a med when your pocket is really really low health, the chances of winning a 1 vs 2 as a med are not that great. I few times its actually made a difference, worst case you body block, arrow your pocket and they drop the med just so you at best have a chance at a better fight even if they have a very small uber advantage.

because you would get people offclassing on heavy, full buffed, body blocking a teammate, lets say a demo, allowing them to do high end damage without taking any at all, meanwhile the person in front is buffed and able to do damage. Yea, splash would effect the combo of players doing this, but the effect on scouts would be annoying. Its a very specific thing, I dont think people have thought about it much at all, but if this was the case, if this was changed, people would be trying this shit.
