If those are new people to the game he better be mentioning some information about comp. it doesn't take long to introduce a few folks to the forums. Providing links to tf2 center, ugc, etf2l and ESEA are things that could really throw someone in the right direction, he'll if he really has a proper understanding and love for the game he would mention these things more then once.
