the301stspartanWhich config to you use? Do you use dx9? I use comanglia's but I still dip below 120 in pubs and midfights on dx9

I use comanglia's for high quality computers with -dxlevel 98. I usually only play in comp servers and very little pubs.

saamRecently during scrim time my ping has been shooting up to 900 or dropping completely for up to 20 minutes. I did the "netstat -n" command and noticed about 10 connections from the ip '54.231.10.73' which redirects to Amazon Cloud Storage (http://aws.amazon.com/s3/). After scrims my ping was fine and doing the netstat command showed no connections from that ip

I have called amazon on your behalf and reported this ip. Lets hope they do something about this.

face2faceIIRC the only reason to cap is if you are worried about overheating or power usage -- the more fps the better! I am not sure about the hitting the cap causing input lag thing but I have heard reputable people say its true

#1 Does capping your fps matter? in Customization

Here is the situation, I have hard that your support to cap your fps to reduce variants in your fps. I use a 144hz screen and constantly get above 300. Does capping your fps do anything in my case, or should I just let it go unlimited? I have heard that capping your fps can cause input lag if you constantly hit that cap, Is this still true or has Valve fixed it?

TLDR: Should i cap my fps at 289 if my computer will constantly hit that all the time.I am on a high powered desktop.

I always thought it was 0.8333

I was told from many configs I have looked through that it was .7, if thats wrong I will update it with the correct number, I dont main sniper so Im not likely to tell the diffrense
