MemphisVonCEVO_SpanglerCEVO will be providing tournament PCs and monitors to the players ONLY during the Friday CEVO matches at this time
Whats the reasoning behind this? Seems kind of silly. Why not let them use it the whole weekend so they don't have to bring their own rig?
There will be official wording on whats going on...we are gonna do our best with what is physically possible for users...
MoyWhen I try to create a team for the GXL LAN BYOC thing, it gives me this error:

Help please? Thanks.
Dev is looking into it, sit tight
EDIT: Issue has been corrected
A CEVO-P match? What is this blasphemy
dashnerRe-read my post. I'm asking if players are able to use their own monitors during the finals or if they're forced to use the ones you provide.
They MUST use the PCs and monitors we provide for the Friday event. There is an entire designated area that will be setup for this where these machines will remain throughout the weekend.
dashnerCEVO_Spangler3) All CEVO players for Friday will be REQUIRED to play on the tournament PCs we provide for our LAN finals event. I hope and imagine GXL will be willing to allow these players who also brought their own setups to setup early before the 9am slot but only they have the authority to answer that.
Does this include the monitors you will be providing or will players be able to use their own? I've promised my PC + 144hz monitor to a CEVO player and it was his intention to use it for the entire event.

1) Only production staff, CEVO/GXL staff, premature LANers and CEVO players are allowed in early for Friday far as I know. This is obviously a no brain answer as these people are needed to start and run the event.
2) There is no special or designated time Friday for teams to leave the venue and check-in to hotels, however if you notice the schedule, there is select 2.5 hour gaps where teams will not be playing and can use this time to eat, nap, check-in to hotels, etc.

4) Another question for GXL as seating right now is tight
5) We have considered this and we will bring this up in a meeting today. Perhaps we can have spec passes extended for Friday at 9am for those simply in attendance for that but again, not my decision.
6) See #2 and #3...hopefully GXL should allow these users to setup early as possible before the CEVO event itself kicks off.
Hope this clarifies most things, I will edit the post with the final answers I get from GXL ASAP
If you allocate the times as I stated, each bo3 sets aside 2.5 hours of time...double check, should be plenty of time for any bo3 in TF2 ;)
Only round not going to be covered is a Ro4 match in CEVO TF2 unless I can somehow magically find a rift in time and gain 2 additional hours in the day plus this is what is needed in order to share the PCs with the CSGO event schedule and run 3 matches at a time (both TF2 and CSGO).
I prefer not to make you guys play into 2, 3, 4am...as of right now, we are looking at a 10/11pm finish Friday with no problems
ColemanUs guys coming over from Europe still have no idea what is happening with PC's after people have told us "we'll get them". I've raised a ticket with CEVO to try and talk to someone, no reply. Looking like it'll be a four day piss up for us at the moment. Can anyone who has an idea with what is happening let us know as i'd rather not pack my peripherals if we're not going to have machines to play on. We'd really just like a Yes or No answer from someone now.
Patience and we will reply to you privately about it soon enough...but I would have no worries for your European team but peripherals are ideal and a must regardless as CEVO will not be providing those for anyone anyways
CEVO-P players themselves (that qualify for our event) are an exception for Friday and will not require a premature lan pass to play @ 9am. The 9am start time is a must and will not be changed....until I have the rest of the CEVO-P matches played...I can't setup your schedules....cough cough but it will be nearly identical to the CSGO one located at this bracket except both Round of 4 matches will be played at the same time and LB Round 1 @ 11:30am
(yes all TF2 matches for CEVO will be bo3)
Bumping this...left another reminder message/email in all your comms...6 matches left in all...get them done
Oh no......
In the meantime, if you already registered, and what Fragile said...get signed up on the CEVO site
Any issues, report them ;)
freakinwhen are open playoffs
Newspost going live here shortly
First match next Tuesday...I guess I can set the first map as Metalworks if that works ;)
I don't want to be that admin/guy to do this, but this is unfortunately the reality of the situation and I have to lay it down thick
